Read about Wok and Roll in a "Best places to eat in Chinatown" article. Given that it's a quick right off of the Chinatown exit from the Metro stop, I had to check it out. Apparently, they also offer karaoke by the hour. Interesting. When I went in, I wasn't prepared to be met with a code locked door and cut out plexiglass for take away. The sweet server came right away and opened the way to a small dining area. The writer recommended this restaurant for their affordable lunch, and prices were on point! Many affordable offerings were a refreshing change. They offer two dish lists, $10.95 or $11.95, and $1 to add an egg roll or soup. They also offer a selection of two sushi rolls and a miso soup for $13.95. Their full menu was also available. I ventured out on a rainy day in search of dumplings, so I was sad to learn they didn't make their own. They did have four men on the sushi line, which was tempting, but I'm a scent person and passed. Instead, I opted for the lunch of pork in garlic and added on the egg roll. It was a little shorter and fatter than most and filled with delicious cabbage, carrot, and pork. While I waited, the place filled up (2 PM), and they took a lot of calls for takeout. My entree portion was impressive for lunch. The dish was heaped with strips of pork, bell peppers, onion, water chestnuts, and a few chili peppers in a delicious garlic sauce. If you don't like a little spice, be warned. A small bowl of steamed white rice came alongside. I could've eaten this dish for days. Service: warm and friendly. Price: exceptional. Taste: Excellent. Atmosphere: nothing fancy, small and quirky. It was a great find from a recommendation that I completely agree with. By far, it was the most affordable lunch I had after 4 days in DC. So go check it out for yourself. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes Egg Roll
The food was just okay lacking flavor. The sushi was the best thing I got the tempura vegetables had thick crust. The dips lacked flavor. The egg drop needed lots of soy sauce to give it flavor. The best priced place I ate in DC but the food is just okay not great Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
I was going around Chinatown to find food and stopped by this place with my family. Our server was really helpful and the food was served quickly. The food quite expensive but I think it was worth it. My only concern was the cleanness of the place.

Found this by chance while visiting the museums. The food was pretty good. Dumplings were my favorite for sure! Service was okay. Also, gratuity is automatically included whicj isnt a problem, but look out for that because we almost left double since we weren't aware. Don't sit near the restrooms. There is a bit of a smell lingering around there. They have French fries for kids, that's pretty much it for kids. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

The woman who “greeted” us yelled at a coworker before seating us. We got thai teas, which were amazing. The miso soup was pretty good, too. The chicken lo mein, however, came with onions in it when we specifically asked for them to be left out. Another waitress had to sort it out for us and compensated by making our next thai teas extra large. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes miso soup 味噌汤

One of the best restaurants I tried in recent times . I tried combination udon, chicken fried rice and dumplings. Worth the time and food. Had a good day in the end. Loved it...♥️ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Automatic gratuity of 18% on every check has been mandatory because of the okay service you receive. You have to flag down your waiters for water, condiments, and missing items. Food quality is good but brought down by the service you receive. They have mambo wings which is supposed to be a local specialty which is a plus cuz only so few places offer that very specific dish Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
