Wingstop is an interesting place but you cannot equate the quality of the food to the service … if that was the case no one would eat here. Absolutely terrible service. There have been many occasions where I’ve gone there and they’ve been closed… and it’ll be like Thursday or Monday afternoon. I’ll call ahead in an effort to avoid staff and long wait times, but those two things are unavoidable as pickup time is usually 30-50 min from when i called and staff is giving a cold shoulder as I pick my food. Whenever I go, it’s evident that workers are very limited which can be attributed to the problems mentioned above. But even with all this the food is very good and I’ve never had a problem with the food. They definitely need better management but that’s not up to me.. or the person reading this. THIS PLACE IS ALWAYS BUSY, I RECOMMEND YOU ORDER AHEAD. First off, the food here is fantastic! The wings are good, I love the voodoo fries, and they have some really good corn… what wing place has corn? The food is 5 stars! This location has had its fair share of issues with staffing. At times, they have been completely overwhelmed with customers. We don’t go here as often as we would like to because we’ve had to wait over an our after our food was supposed to be ready to get our order. Yesterday was a good day! 4 people working and doing a pretty good job from what I could tell. We ordered our food online and we got there when it said it was going to be ready. Within 8 minutes of our pickup time we were walking out the door with our food. That was probably the best service experience I’ve had here. Two things: 1. Knowing that service has been a point of struggle for this restaurant and yet they are always so freaking busy speaks volumes about what people are willing to endure for their great food! 2. We have seen this kitchen totally overwhelmed staffed with only 1 person and yet the people who work here seem to commit to serve their customers. They might not staff the counter and require you to place orders on your phone so they can focus on cooking, but they don’t give up. I’ve seen a lot of heart from the workers here over the years. With the reasonable wait time yesterday, I am hoping their staffing problems are behind them but regardless, do yourself a favor and order ahead. I will never return to the Sioux Falls wingstop. When it first opened years ago I had horrible food/service. I figured several years later it must have improved to stay in business. I was quoted about an hour order time which was fine. As I pulled up to the restaurant my order changed to completed status. I found a lobby full of people but no employees in the front of the store. I waited an additional 45 minutes past the hour quote time. Any time the girl working the counter would come out she didn’t acknowledge the several people waiting to order, DoorDash drivers or helpless customers that had ordered online. After about 35 minutes I asked for an update. She walked away from me without a response. I yelled back into the kitchen to get another employee’s attention and he helped me. They still forgot my dips which I had to come back for. The cheese fries were ok. The rest of the food was cold. Why was I made to wait for so long just to get cold food? The delivery drivers all told me they try not to take orders from this location because this is standard practice here. Another customer worked at the Jimmy John’s next door and said a lot of people walk over to order after waiting to long for food. loved our experience! employees were friendly and our food was out fast. wings were delicious and fries were hot and crispy. ranch was BOMB. for all three of us it was just under $40, very reasonable pricing. highly recommend! The food when done properly which albeit is very rare is fantastic, but the issue comes with the staffing. You rarely get your order as it should be, countless times they have completely forgot to season my wings and fries and forgot my ranch over the years? When you order 30 wings and 20 of them have no seasoning what are you supposed to do? My last 4 trips to Wing Stop have all been incorrect. I haven’t been given my side I ordered in months my wings haven’t had seasoning 2 out of the last 4 times I’ve ordered. Frankly a 2 star review is extremely generous. The food was ok, fries a little greasy, I'm curious how often they change the grease . As you pull up to the place 15 minutesbefore it opens there are 4-5 cars there already, parked and backed in right in front of the door. About 10 minutes before opening 2 employee come out and get in one of the vehicles to have a cigarette. I assume all vehicles parked are workers as well. We walked in to the counter at 11:00, gentleman sitting doing paper work, anthor comes up to take orders, but computer will not work, so he carefully slides back over the greasy floor lined with napkins, garbage from what I assume was there from night before. He goes out to the car where two employees are still enjoying their smoke to get one of them, they all three come in and he is assisted in getting the computer up to start taking orders. Uniforms on all 4 employees we have seen at this time are not fresh considering we were first customers of the day. We ordered, wings, fries and wanted 3 glasses of water...which we are charged 2.29 each for, ( they have to charge, because they were giving too many out and if they don't stop they won't get anymore raises). The food was made and our name was called in a timely manner. The employees we dealt with were nice enough, but cleanliness and customer first were not priority. I think with a little guidance and a good clean up all around it could be an ok place to eat. Not sure if I'm game to find out tho. Seem to have the same problems everyone else is having, the food is always pretty good but the hours are never the posted open hours. I was just called after placing an order and told they were closing at 3:33. Business states closed at 9:30 pm today. Called in an order to pick up an hour and a half later. Showed up at the pick up time half of the order was done, half of the order of the order wasn't even cooking yet. Workers were standing around by the register joking around when I asked them if my order was done, they all shrugged their shoulders at each but sure. Then realized the classic wings weren't even cooking. While here I witnessed many customers come up to order and nobody even acknowledged them. Everyone waiting in the dining area was agitated because of orders being messed up. These guys need help. Service was awful, they did not look presentable as workers, they were on their phone and were talking amongst themselves while we waited to order. Immediately we noticed that the whole building smelled horribly of marijuana. Which is so off putting for a food place, so don’t eat in unless you want second hand high. The restaurant was extremely dirty and the drink area isn’t organized at all and the straws they give you sit on the counter top getting wet from people spilling on them. Over all gross place, i really hated waiting for the food, just felt gross. During our wait the workers were walking around, on their phone, getting their own drinks, and not tending to the kitchen. Walked in and looked at the menu. There were 7 or 8 people standing around and sitting around waiting. There was a lady sitting at the register. Once we figured out what we wanted to order, she told us it would be an hour. Why would we wait an hour? At least tell us when we walk in how long the wait will be.
