Quaint little place serving coffee, craft beer, wine, and sweets. Comfortable atmosphere to just sit and sip with friends. Didn't try any food so could not rate cookies etc. but it looks good. Parking is mostly street with a couple of small lots close by with a space or two available to patrons. Love it's name too! Price per person $10–20 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

I always arrive and leave so impressed with the awesome service, warm ambiance, and excellent coffee! Solid management and baristas who love their craft👌🏼 Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Drip Coffee
Nice neighborhood pub. No food served, but there was a food truck the night we visited. Beverages include wine by the bottle + $6 corkage fees, beers - 8 drafts + bottles or cans - no corkage fees. 3 long shareable tables & 6 seats inside plus a couple more facing the window. There is a back patio with heaters, if you want them on. Cool vibes, friendly crowd & lots of beverage options.
Like a second living room and backyard, the WS Public House is home away from home. I love coming here on a Saturday morning to grab a coffee with my family, quality time with one of my kids or solitude in the afternoons, or a chill girls’ night out. The music, comfortable seating, lighting, drink selection, friendly staff, and variety of happenings are all second only to the community of people flowing in and out the doors at the pub. I don’t know if there is a place that encompasses so much of what I love about Winston-Salem. On any given day of the week, you can come here for coffee, beer, or wine. But the best is when you see local business owners, friends—human and furry, sunrises and sunsets, local music, food trucks, art festivals, supper clubs, and even catered seated dinners. The versatility of this space is what draws me back here again and again. My children love the “backyard” for watching the chickens and I love the cortados or iced coffee. Plus because of their broad opening hours, it’s a great place to meet friends for a coffee in the AM or a drink after work, have a date night, or pack a picnic dinner for the family and have a bottle of wine while the kids play. My 5yo daughter loves this place so much she had her birthday here! (Side note: they have a fantastic selection of wine by the bottle or by the glass thanks to their excellent sommelier!) Recently, WSPH went through some changes and the new manager Jenna is doing a fantastic job with her coffee menu but also offering delicious snack options. 🙌🏻 To conclude my love letter to WSPH, this place holds a special place in my heart and I go back weekly inspite of living 15 minutes away.

I've seen live music numerous times here, and it's always a good time. Staff members are always friendly and relaxed. I think that's a good way to describe Public House overall. It's just a great place to chill out. No big screen TVs. Hooray! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

West Salem Public House is the best! They have the best coffee in town, the best selection of non-alcoholic beverages (also great alcoholic ones!), and a wonderful indoor and outdoor space. The inside has cozy seating and great wifi. The fenced in backyard has comfy adirondack chairs, ample picnic tables, and space heaters for cooler weather. The baristas and bartenders are skilled and friendly, and the owners are top-notch guys. This place is dog friendly, kid friendly, and laptop friendly. Come here to write a novel, meet a blind date, throw a birthday party, or grab coffee before walking your dog on the strollway. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $1–10
Wonderful evening supporting the Songbird Supper Club, such wonderful musicians, poets, interviews with the artist. Truly special for the WS Public House to offer the space and atmosphere for this intement event. Service was outstanding from the staff, refreshing brews, the food from Kuya Bear Foods was delicious, local desserts, snooker doodles, so tasty. Couldn’t ask for a better Tuesday night out. Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The West Salem Public House has been such a blessing to our neighborhood! From the first day I moved here I have walked over *almost* every day for an oat milk cappuccino (shout out to Jenna!!!) or a beer (love all the bar tenders!), warm conversation and a beautiful interior AND exterior to gather with friends. The rotating beer list has been great to be able to try out new things and there is almost always some kind of food truck or pop-up happening every week! The addition of Hatch coffee has been amazing! Seriously, go get Jenna to recommend something for you and make you a hand crafted beverage! You won’t regret coming in and you’ll most likely make a new friend and never leave! Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $1–10
