After enjoying M. C. Benton Jr. Convention Center, go to this cafe that is not far away. Have a nice time here and share nicely cooked deli sandwiches, chicken and chicken salads with your friends. Good gelato is the best dish. Visit this place and order delicious beer or good wine. If you want to taste some great iced coffee, tea or espresso, Washington Perk is a decent choice for you. Best soup & sandwiches ever!!! Got the creamy tomato soup and grilled cheese - and it was just what I was craving!! The tomato soup had some of the best flavor I’ve ever had! The deli ladies were amazing as well!! Great little gem! Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–10

Wow, what a hidden gem. I got an iced Irish cream latte and my husband a mix berry smoothie and when I say it was one of the best smoothies we’ve ever tried. They have a grocery section with local fruits and veggies, they also have a deli which I’m super excited to try. I know for a fact we will be back. I do volunteer work downtown near Merschel Park and stop in about once a week. The staff is always friendly and the service is great. In general just a great place for a coffee/tea, a small snack or a full on meal. I LOVE the deli counter - made to order sandwiches and bagels, very reasonably priced, always good, and fast! I really love this spot in downtown WS. Of course it's a little pricier than a regular grocery store, but I love supporting local and the convenience factor can't be beat. They have all the kitchen essentials, a great beer/wine selection, and some fun novelty items as well. There's a sandwich shop in the back and some great ice cream flavors up front. Maaaaaaaan!! We have been to Winston Salem several times over the years and have passed by this place several times! Well I can tell you that this past weekend we finally walked in and my wife and I could’ve kicked ourselves for not trying it before. The staff was super friendly and the sandwiches were AMAZING!!! All 3 of us sandwiches and chips and drinks for less than $25. Now if you’re in a rush to leave do not come here… you can go to the fast food sandwich shop across the street or you can stop and sit in the coffee shop. This place offers beers and wines from around the state! We went three times during our stay in Winston! They upped the price of their whole deli by $1-4 just recently. Egg and cheese bagel used to be $3.75 now it's $4.75, and the sandwiches went way up in price compared to like 3 months ago. They don't put enough in the sandwiches, a lot of times I've gotten one with just a light smear in the center of the bread, not worth the price then and especially not now... I like coming here for their ice cream and latte, it's good and way cheaper than Camino but I'm scared they're going to raise the price like they did with the deli. Upon walking in you’re in a small grocery area and there is a sandwich shop in the back. If you look to your left you will find the coffee brew master. The register by the door is where you pay. Confusing for out of town visitors but not bad for a quiet slow pace coffee shop. A great place to go and find solitude in the early hours of the day. Washington Perk has great made to order sandwiches, as well as espresso drinks, and other groceries and supplies. It has very eclectic decorations. Located in the center of downtown, it’s really a great location as well

I heard through the grapevine about a new ice cream brand called "Dream kreams". They have many varieties of flavors including their best seller "banana pudding". Unfortunately, I didn't pick their banana pudding. I decided to grab their "Turtle Brownie" because I was having a taste for brownie. Long story short, the Turtle Brownie ice cream was delicious than I expected. I found it was local produce and homemade:^). I really like homemade ice cream.
