Good place to watch sports! Friendly and attentive service. Louisiana pub type food was hit and miss. Fried catfish was decent but bit pricey. Rice and beans were delicious. Cajun press sandwich had good flavor but could use a few more shrimp. Waffle fries were disappointingly stale and bland. Would try the gumbo next time. I enjoyed the energy here. We had to wait for a table and we were given an hour timeframe. It was expected. Knowing the circumstances with the Texans game being on, we ordered drinks at the bar and after awhile we ordered apps from the bar. Right after, we were seated and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Apps bought to our table. ♥️ First timers and there’s no reason to miss a moment of the game with the multiple tv’s while filling your tummy with yummy-ness. First time trying boudin balls and decided to try theirs. Now I get the phenomenon. 🤤 melt in your mouth and crunchy goodness. The gator 🐊 bites were meaty, well seasoned and with that dip, for both, was finger scooping good 😊 🫣 Lastly, the red fish with the crawfish sauce, was perfectly seasoned. My friend liked his also but liked mine, with the crawfish, better but I only shared one bite.. so good! Loved the meal, energy, waitress with the cute glasses 👓, wait staff as we waited, the margo was tasty, and I would love to try more of their menu. Took home wings and gumbo. Da bomb. Go Texans! The food was actually pretty good. Very good cheeseburgers and french fries. I also tried the gumbo, but I am a bit of a gumbo snob, so I thought it was just OK. The atmosphere was great. Lots of TVs, lots of sports, which is what I was looking for. I think we got a new server, unfortunately. She was nice, but she was so slow. I just want to start off by saying that this was one of the best sandwhiches and sweet potato fries I have ever had!!! I devoured the entire meal. The food here is delicious. I think about this meal often lol! My entire family loved what they each selected as well. The servers are very helpful and kind. The place itself is very clean. It is a little too loud for my liking, but it is a sports bar so I can’t complain too much. It’s a great spot for catching up, eating, watching games, and enjoying a few drinks. It is also very family friendly!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Strolled into Walk-Ons and found myself in a lively spot that's got its food game on. I tackled the Fried Shrimp Po'Boy and, let me tell you, it's a behemoth sandwich that packs a crispy, flavorful punch. The breading on the shrimp? Spot on with just the right amount of crunch and seasoning. Heads up though, the full size is massive; the half would've been plenty. The fried pickles were the unsung heroes of the meal – seriously, some of the best I've ever crunched into. As for the service, it was okay. The waitress seemed to be juggling a lot, so there were a few wait-and-see moments, but nothing that turned the experience sour. And the gumbo was good too! Walking out with a satisfied belly and a solid 8/10 vibe, Walk-Ons is definitely on my "cool places to eat" list. It's the kind of joint where the food often speaks louder and prouder than the service. Would I go back? For those fried pickles and another round with that Po'Boy, absolutely. Went for lunch today and had Maria as our server. She was very quick and friendly. The food was amazing. I got a Chicken Avacado Club, I was expecting something plain with not a lot of flavor but this Club Sandwich was so good! The queso dip with jalapeños has been the best queso I’ve had at a restaurant. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I have eaten Walk Ons numerous times on my business trips to Baton Rouge. When I seen they were building this one I was super excited. Finally decided to stop in there today and take the family for lunch. We were greatly promptly upon walking in and seated quickly. We ordered 3 appetizers. Server was very friendly up taking our drink orders and appetizer orders. We ordered the boneless wings, mozzarella logs, and waffle cheese fries. I would say the wait for them was normal. Unfortunately the cheese fries were cold and the cheese wasn't even melted all the way. The mozzarella logs were cold as well. The wings were hot and tasted amazing. We then ordered the fried catfish, bacon cheeseburger, and alligator tacos. My wife loved her tacos, and my daughter loved the catfish. The cheeseburger I had was tasted very good. I believe we spent a little over $100 for the food. Honestly don't mind spending this type of money but would at least like my food to be hot. Overall a good experience and would like to try again on another visit.
