About
Many people point out that waiters offer good chicken biryani and nicely cooked chicken here. But google users haven't given Wah India a high rating.

5 of us went for Bengali dinner to Wah India. We had Luchi Aloo dam Luchi Kosha Mangsho Chanar Dalna Fish fry Doi Rohu Mutton Biryani They cook everything fresh after you order so it takes a bit of time to serve. Hence they recommend to call and pre order for quicker service Every dish we ordered was as good or even better than you find at Kolkata restaurant. Very authentic and home cooked style. Our favourite was : Kosha Mangsho, Doi rohu and Chhanar Dalna Would highly recommend this restaurant for any Bengali Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The highlight of Wah India lies undoubtedly in its culinary offerings. Each dish is a harmonious blend of aromatic spices, fresh ingredients, and time-honored recipes passed down through generations. From mouthwatering curries to succulent meat and fragrant rice dishes, every bite is a celebration of Bengal's culinary legacy. While the orders may take a bit of time to arrive, the wait is a testament to the restaurant's dedication to excellence. And rest assured, the moment your first dish arrives, you'll understand why it was worth every moment. So, whether you're a seasoned food enthusiast or simply curious to explore new flavors, Wah India promises an authentic taste of Bengal. Good mutton Biriyani.. can be better if made a little less spicy(spicy masala not hot). We tried the indo Chinese options- schezwan fried rice was good, chicken Manchurian and chilly chicken also very good. Hakka noodles was too wet with too much sauce. Next comes sweets. Rosogolla that we tried here is a no-no. I don’t know about other days but the one we tried is definitely not one you want to have as a Bengali. No offense but please donot mess with rosogolla emotions. Good gulab jamun and langcha. We tried samosa chat and panipuri there- it was ok. Very long waiting time eating in there just for these two items. Will definitely try again other items on the menu. A Taste of Kolkata Away from Home! My wife and I recently visited Wah India to celebrate her birthday, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Living far away from our hometown Kolkata, my wife has been missing the authentic taste of home. Wah India not only met but exceeded our expectations in bringing the flavors of Kolkata right to our table. From the moment we stepped in, the warm and inviting ambiance made us feel at ease. The staff, went above and beyond to ensure that our celebration was special. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanor added a personal touch to our dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food – absolute perfection! The menu is a delightful journey through the rich and diverse flavors of Kolkata. Each dish was a reminiscent taste of home, prepared with care and authenticity. The spices, the textures, and the presentation all showcased the culinary expertise of the chefs. My wife couldn't have been happier on her birthday. The restaurant not only satisfied her craving for Kolkata's home-cooked flavors but also transported us back to the streets and kitchens of our beloved hometown. It was a nostalgic experience that we will cherish. A big thank you to the entire team at Wah India for creating an atmosphere that felt like home and for serving food that tasted like it was made with love. We highly recommend Wah India to anyone looking for an authentic taste of Kolkata, even if you're miles away. We'll definitely be back to savor those delightful flavors again! My favorite Bengali restaurant in the Netherlands. The food is delicious. I had my baby shower (Shaad) last weekend and I had order food from them and the food was soooooo tasty as always and all the guests enjoyed the food 😊 Service Delivery Meal type Lunch
We visited this restaurant few times and every time we had a very nice experience. Food quality and tests are very amazing, we had ordered Chinese and North Indian dishes, and i would highly recommend trying it. We have some food preferences/restrictions so the chef has customised the food for us. Food delivery takes some time so you have to wait for some time. But it also indicates that they are not serving ready-made food, but they are making fresh food after our order. Kids also enjoyed the food. They prepare food as per the taste of all ages. I would recommend trying if you are looking for Indian cuisine. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Recently had the special thali for Valentines day and the food was awesome. And the different combinations in the thali made it more unique, mix of indo-chinese, bengali and north indian cuisine. Cheers to wah india - get more of these combos coming Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Writing this review literally at the middle of the night, cause I am still in disbelief. Found the most authentic and awesome tasting Kolkata style biriyani today. We have been craving for the Kolkata style biriyani ever since we moved to the Netherlands. Till date none of the restaurants came close to replicate the taste of Kolkata/ awadhi biriyani. The closest we had was during our trip to Paris but Wah India superceded them. The biriyani had all the good qualities of Kolkata biriyani - aroma, superbly cooked mutton and above all the potato. We also ordered a plate of loochi-alur dam and it was absolutely delectable too. We travelled all the way from Utrecht to this place and were truly apprehensive seeing the flurry of negative reviews. But we are glad we made the choice, cause now we have found our endless supply of authentic tasting biriyani. Hats off to this humble takeaway joint, it is a resounding 5 star 🌟.
