About
If you feel hungry after visiting National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, have a meal at this restaurant. Come to this place and try Italian cuisine. Perfectly cooked seafood fettuccine, ragout and house salads have a nice taste. Most guests recommend trying good tiramisu, cannolis and cheesecakes. This place is known for delicious marsala, draft beer or malbec. Here you may have great coffee or good ice tea. Food delivery is a big advantage of Vinny Vanucchi's. The staff is well-trained that's what makes this place so good. Prompt service is something that people note in their reviews. Prices at this spot claim to be low. You will definitely like the quiet atmosphere and fine decor. This restaurant scored 4.2 in the Google rating system.

The service and atmosphere were great. The waitress was very kind and helpful but the food was sub-par and arrived at our table lukewarm. The alfredo sauce did not taste fresh or homemade, it was very thick with a glue-like texture. To pay over $25 per plate for such food, we would've been better off to go to the Olive Garden. It's unfortunate, but we likely won't return to the Dubuque Vinny's. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
We found this place by a Google search when visiting from out of town. We wanted to make sure they were open and called ahead and they answered properly and said come on in. She recommended her favorites appetizer ( calamari yum) & was out within five minutes along with a delicious salad and bread that came with our entree. I don’t even think we were there an hour and 10 minutes with a four course meal for four people. The bill was very reasonable and the staff was very friendly. Most definitely will be back and recommend to anyone visiting Dubuque. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
I was expecting the same type of experience that we have at the Galena location. It was not the same. The toasted ravioli are stuffed with like a jalapeño popper filling, but not listed as such. Very spicy, not expected and extremely fitting for cheap bar food during a Sunday foot all game, not a Mother's Day Sunday dinner appetizer. The chicken marsala came out lukewarm and covered in a gelatinous gravy of sauce. There was maybe 3 capers on my plate. The spaghetti carbonara sauce had the texture and taste of glue. The lasagna was pretty flat, smothered in sauce, and a very small portion My son ordered a burger medium rare and it come out ASHY. Not kidding, it was so overcooked that the outside of it was crumbling off to ash, it was rock hard and disturbingly well done. We did have to send the burger back but then we all sat there waiting for my son to get his food as we all had ours, for 15 minutes. The server never offered anything, she did apologize for the burnt burger but this was my Mother's Day dinner and it was awful. We paid almost $150 for this dinner, for 4 (with 2 appetizers, no alcohol) and I'm still a little upset over that. We love Vinny's, but clearly Galena is the only location for us. July 14th was when we enjoyed a long shared family style dinner of salad, bread, spaghetti and meatballs and penne chicken romano. Plus some wine Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Kid's Spaghetti & Meatball
Vinny Vaucchi's is a slice of the old Italian restaurants. The atmosphere is spot on. The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch! I enjoyed my visit to the Dubuque location and will definitely visit again. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Baked Penne
I’ve been to Vinnie Venucci‘s three times having moved to Dubuque from Waterloo. The service is wonderful. I would have to make the two things I purchased the most recently and I’d have to say the food was fair. They’re just wasn’t a lot of flavor to either dish. I thoroughly enjoyed my time otherwise. Initial service and free bread and salad was a great startZ. However, it went downhill quickly. Pizza was served cold/room temp. Dissatisfied. My pasta dish was fair, and my sons burger well done instead of the requested medium. Service was slow. She asked if we wanted check and never asked about dessert or coffee, which I wanted but gave up asking for because she seemed in a rush to get us out. Amazing atmosphere!! Brent was our server and was super cool and kind, food was great and authentic!! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chicken Alfredo
Mediocre to fair food. Service is just okay. My primary complaint is they don't split checks. They tell you it is posted everywhere, but there is only a smallish sign you won't see if the hostess greets you. The text on the menu says for a party of 8 or more. We were a party of 4. We even mentioned separate checks when ordering and were never told. Then they want to add a mandatory gratuity of 20% to split the checks. The service and food was not worth a 20% gratuity by a long shot. Splitting checks for a small party is just standard business and should be neither a big deal to do nor require a minimum gratuity. Will never eat here again. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
