Here right now and we've been a number of times in the past. Hands down, best calamari I've ever had. Their crab dip is phenomenal as well. Their carrot cake is also delicious. Haven't had anything not good. Their service is always top notch and their food is always of the highest quality. Highly recommend for anyone. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Prime Rib with Au Jus Loaded Mash Potatoes and Macaroni
I had the Colorado Chicken and it was delicious. Perfectly seasoned. Huge portion. Nice presentation on the plate. Our server, Wendy was great. Wendy was very accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming. The complementary bread was warm, light and fresh. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Kevin was the best server I’ve had in a long time. He reads the energy of the guests at his tables very well to match what kind of experience they’re looking for. Food and drinks were great as well. Pictured below are crab dip (“market price” was like $16 so not too bad), fish and chips, and the chicken penne with the basil cream sauce. Highly recommend and glad to hear they have a location to visit in Charlotte as well! Seeing your son, a man of whom you burst with pride makes anything great. That aside this place just plain gets it. Three items we had were spot on tonight. The one off, a pimento dip with veggies (wife appetizer) was a bit lazy. Our server Bree was fantastic. What we had in pictures below. Get here, worth the money, there is a line at the door for a reason. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This is one of the most popular restaurants in Winston. It is our Go To when we don’t know what to eat. The parking lot is always full. It is worth trying even with takeouts. Had dinner last night on our way to some business about an hour south of here. Was thoroughly satisfied with my meal and the service was top-notch. We did have to wait 45 minutes but we were told it would be 45 minutes and that’s as long as it took, not a minute more. We are back here again tonight and I hope that I will be able to sample their prime rib. It looked absolutely incredible last night, but they were sold out by the time we got in, although it was very late and completely excusable. The beet salad was absolutely phenomenal, at least in the top three salads I have ever eaten in any restaurant anywhere in my life. Here we are a year later, and stopped in the village Tavern on our way to a business trip and had another fantastic dinner. The prime rib is absolutely out of control smoked and slow roasted for 24 hours. I seriously do think it’s the best prime rib I’ve ever had anywhere and I’ve eaten it 500+ times over the years. Lizze was our server and she did an awesome job, everything was there within 2 minutes of asking. I wish EVERY dining experience was as good as the Village Tavern in Winston. It’s now my favorite restaurant in the US. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Great food! Like the Reynolda location better! The food and atmosphere were much better to my liking. Pictures are from Reynolda location. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Tavern
It has been a while since we were at the Village Tavern. I remember the food/experience being a good bit better. Having been there just after opening, I would have thought everything would have been fresh. This was simply not the case. Both my food and my wife's seemed tough and dry. The wait staff was great and saved the experience. I will most likely be back just to verify that this was just an off day.
Middle of the week and looked like employees everywhere. Even still food service was just slow. The bar area was horribly loud and drinks (wine) slow slow slow. Food was “good” - (pimento deviled eggs with bacon, house salad, and the mains were a pork chop & chicken Marsala) it was nothing to write home about and a bit pricy for “good”. The chicken Marsala was way better than the pork chop. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

The fish with the Fish and Chips was so flaky and done perfectly IMO. With a combination of fork and fingers I managed to eat it. The tartar sauce was perfect for me. So many restaurants put sugar in everything but VT didn't as far as I could tell. I'm not a sweet food type of person so it was just fine. Although I don't eat fries often I tried a few of the heaping helping. They were good. The slaw was okay and appeared to be made in house. As we were celebrating a birthday I had the butter cake for dessert. Yum!!!! Glad they talked me into it. It was hot on the inside so the ice cream cooled it some. The raspberry sauce was perfectly tart. The strawberries were good. All in all it was a satisfying meal. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Recommended dishes Fish and Chips
