It's a cozy little place, various, a well stocked and good selection of baked goods.
Only reason it got a star down is because of the jelly/jam inside Skilpadde and that the bun was dry, crusty and almost tastes a bit old.
I don't go here for Skilpadde bcuz of that reason.
But others are others👍

Delicious pastries with a great varieties of options. Excellent quality and finally a place that does not make me nostalgic for Italy. It’s never to crowded and you can always find a seat. My favourite cafe in Alesund so far.

Delicious pancake but very overpriced. Kr160 (AUD$25) for pancake and a filter coffee...in a bakery cafe! Taking advantage of travellers with no idea of exchange rates.

Jeg kan ikke forstå hvorfor folk jobber med noe de ikke liker. Kvinne bak pulten er et godt eksempel på hvordan dårlig service kan ødelegge hele opplevelsen av ellers pent innredet og koselig sted. Liker du ikke å smile til folk, hilse og vær hyggelig og serviceinnstilt? Få jobben på lageret. Der kan du spille heavy metal-musikken din. Caffeen har ikke det ekte publikumm.
