Got a couple of dozen assorted donuts and was pleased with all. The jalapeño sausage and cheese kolache was tasty as well.
Maybe because I am so incredibly handsome, and modest, the nice young lady assisting me gave me a chocolate covered eclair that tasted quite good. Goo filled pastries are usually not my thing and it's been decades since I've had an eclair but this was actually good. The chocolate did not overpower the flavors of dough and filling. The outside of the dough had just the right crispness.
And I do like an independent business over a chain store.
Small donut shop, with good kolaches and tacos that are similar to Whataburger taquitos. The owners were friendly and hospitable. I appreciate that they were open during this weather.
We love this place! The donuts and kolaches are family favorites, especially when they are hot! and everyone at work always comments how good their breakfast sandwiches are when I take them in.
