ORGANIC food menu!! On a business trip from Portland and we always 2 a difficult time finding genuine organic restaurants and when we do, they aren’t usually open for dinner. THE PLANT has everything you need! We had the unicorn tots and BLT avocado (bacon was tremendously delicious!!) and a green juice. The staff was helpful and genuinely very nice people. Lots of space inside but their indoor courtyard was such a pleasant place to enjoy our food. Highly recommend you ear here. We are coming back before we leave. Very delicious and healthy food that’s served gourmet style at a very good price point. The dinning experience from start to finish was quite welcoming and everyone was super friendly and attentive. I ordered a tasty cafe mocha and their beautifully presented avocado toast (A work of Art) probably the best avocado toast I’ve ever had in my life. Well worth the visit and I’ll be back for more delicious healthy food that’s not over priced. Thanks for a great dinning experience. I love how you can buy any of the plants displayed inside. Reminds me of my home since I have plants everywhere. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Although I don't usually find myself in Dogpatch, The Plant called me in with a wide variety of vegan menu items. I was truthfully underwhelmed with my selections. I asked for the vegan avocado BLT, the totchos, and vegan mac n' cheese. The totchos arrived to start: home-made tater tots with dairy-free cheeze sauce, beans, pico de gallo, and fresh jalapeno. The flavor was tasty overall, but the house's rendition of tater tots was not the crispy potato puffs I had in mind. The tots were more like herbed dumplings. Although they were flavorful, something more crispy would have complemented the other textures of the dish. As a rule of thumb, if a place has vegan mac, I will order it. However, I will keep my opinions of the mac n' cheeze brief: absolutely the worst vegan mac I have ever had. The pasta was incredibly overcooked and mushy, and the sauce was more of a bland, buttery paste than a cheesy sauce. Aside from the parsley garnish, it was as if no seasonings were used. A small child might enjoy the blandness of this comfort dish, but I highly advise against ordering this, as a person with taste buds. In regard to my sandwich, I never received a BLT. There was a mixup with my order and got the Deluxe burger which had a home-made veggie patty, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheeze, and vegan bacon. Although they offered to replace it, I just decided to stick with what they gave me. First thing's first, all of the produce was fresh and flavorful, and I really enjoyed the cut and cook of the onions. However, a soft, dull patty and mealy bun took away from the experience. Was it terrible? No. Would I order it again? Also, no. The Plant uses Hooray vegan bacon, which I had not heard of and was excited to try, and although the flavor was really good, it was chewy and undercooked. I can only imagine the disappointment I would have felt if I received my intended order only to get a soppy, chewy sandwich. As for the side, the soup of the day (tomato) was a tasty surprise, with a subtle kick of heat and a creamy texture. Ultimately, I was not impressed with The Plant, but I am appreciative of the amount of clean, fresh, and organic ingredients they use, in addition to the amount of plant-based options. My critique is to refine the flavors of an already enticing menu. Not the worst, but no the best, especially for something a little out of the way and some may say a little pricey. The ambiance, especially with the outdoor seating, was quite quaint and welcoming, and I would dine again just for the setting alone. I was in SF for a concert for 2 nights & had a hard time finding something on the healthy side that did not have crazy prices. The first time I was there I ordered the Burrito Mojado from the brunch menu & it was really good. The environment was super nice & the staff was friendly. I liked it so I came back the next morning for breakfast. I ordered the egg breakfast burrito & I also really liked that too. The chipotle sauce that came with it did taste a little weird but not bad. I also ordered a mango smoothie which was delicious. We sat in the back area which was nice & fresh. Definitely would come here again. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Breakfast Burrito

Went with a group from the Berkeley Food Institute and got a chance to hear one of the owners talk about how the business developed and how they source their food. He was genuine and transparent about everything, what a great company. The pandemic hit them hard, but they are still thriving. Really an informative and inspiring experience. And the Cubano was killer! Staff was patient, respectful and friendly. 5 stars all around! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Plant based menu with 2/3 of the options not plant based and vegan options not marked .. I would not recommend it to a strict vegan.. The manager pointed to a couple items and said “ these are vegan”, and I guess I was supposed to remember..,I spent over 15 minutes and 3 different servers to get clarification on what was vegan.. It didn’t seem important for them to know that Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
