First time here and it was a very cosy and we got seated by the fireplace. There house salad was very well plated and pretty good for a house salad. I had the shrimp and grits and the portions are pretty big! I didn’t care for the mountain of cheese but that up to taste. The margarita I got was a little weak for me, my husbands first choice of wine was not available and the waiter suggested a different one and hubby loved it. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

This is a nice and cozy restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The tortellini and crab cakes were pretty good and the staff members were friendly and active all night. Overall pleasant experience! Our server Mike was friendly and attentive. Food and drinks came out in a timely manner. My ribeye was a tad overdone, but not enough to have the kitchen redo it. My partner's shrimp and grits were excellent. Took the pecan pie for dessert, and it was delightful. We sat inside, but hope to sit out on their lovely outside patio next time! My first time trying this place with my buddy and i was not disappointed. My burger and the creme brulee Cheesecake was so good. My friend got the salmon BLT and the chocolate pecan pie and he loved it. Will definitely return. Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Brunch: Great location & beautiful patio! Horrible service. Food was meh. 1 Friend had Caesar salad said it was good all others got pancakes which were all burned or over cooked. Fruit cups were just melon. Wrong meals were given. We thought our server left his shift that’s how long we waited for drinks… -inside is dark, overly smells like cleaning chemicals. Needs updates. My theory is if bathroom and dining room is dark & dirty, imagine the kitchen. If there’s 5 STARS for this place, I’m not sure what others are comparing it to…maybe they’ve never left Winston. I typically order the same dish. Shrimp and grits. They are usually wonderful and delicious. However I’m not sure what prompted the cook to add so much cheese but it completely ruined the meal. I’m not sure if this is a new recipe they are trying however it was WAAAAAY too much cheese. It’s never been served to me this way. Also the waiter must have new I’m guessing which is fine everyone has to learn.. but 10 minutes for ketchup and salt. && NEVER received a refill on our drinks. I had to to just ask for a Togo drink. This doesn’t mean I won’t be back it just means I completely wasted $50 bucks on a mean I anticipated and was very disappointed. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Calamari
Always one of my favorite places to have lunch. The Buffalo chicken dip is awesome! If it’s warm, the patio is a great place to sit. The turkey and brie wrap is delicious as well. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

I enjoyed my time at this restaurant. A friend and I had a good experience with brunch on a Sunday. Apparently, the place is well liked, as there were many people in this establishment. I had a Greek omelette with their unique, delicious herbal style of home fries and fruit. I imagined my Greek omelette in one manner, however, they had the feta cheese, olives, mushrooms, etc. inside the omelette, which gave me a bit of a surprise with every fork full. This was a pleasant experience for my palate. The service was attentive, especially with so many people in the space. Moreover, the neighborhood lent itself to the ambiance of the restaurant, which was additionally enjoyable. I recommend brunch at the Filling Station. We were pleased to see more than one vegetarian entree and loved that they had a good selection of local beers. I will point out that the menu online differs slightly from the current menu, but not in a way that created problems. Service was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the ratatouille and creamy tortellini were both just excellent! This is a solid, reliable go-to for date night, business lunches, or Easter brunch. You can’t go wrong with this choice!
