Very nice coffee , cozy atmosphere and dog friendly ! . Good place for a quick break , with a cake . Not a lot of options on food , just cakes and no laptops allowed . But overall nice place with friendly stuff

When I asked a local “where can I find speciality coffee in Utrecht?” He immediately mentioned this cosy coffee shop. It is a proper artisan coffee shop too. Loads of seating inside. Outside there are stools with a view of the canal. Given the barmy weather of late. It would be my first choice cafe.

You see someone at their laptop before entering (probably someone of the staff-not sure).
You enter, you order & pay your coffee, you sit down & open your laptop, they bring you the coffee & rudely, almost aggressively they say: “it’s absolutely not allowed to use your laptop, there is a sign at the door” … well … not the customer approach you expect…
I’m respecting your policy but the way the staff made me aware of this was so unfriendly and not professional. It’s about the way they made me feel (like I committed a crime) and not about the policy.

I came to look for a place to use the laptop temporarily, but I only learned that laptop is not allowed after ordering a coffee, which is very disappointing. I did not see warning or information about this policy in the store.
(Update: the store responded to my previously message nicely, and they indeed put the information in the store, so I decide to increase the rating but still wants to keep the message here. I understand from other reviews that you may want to create a place without laptops. If this is the intention, I would highly suggest that you make this intention very clear so that customers have the correct expectations when walking into the store. The no-laptop information in the store was not obvious for me.)

I drank an coffee brewed w/ an aeropress. It was very good but I hoped for a lighter roasted coffee to have an even better taste.
My girlfriend bought a Matcha Latte and it was very good !

Best coffee in Utrecht and only shop I go to. Well roasted, good milks, good service.
For those reviewers who say too acidic, sour, bright, this goes hand-in-hand with specialty coffee. If you want high roast/low acidity, not your place. But I also don’t find this coffee to be that bright; I think it strikes the right balance. And for those reviewers that say too expensive, also goes hand-in-hand with specialty coffee. But, I also don’t find the price to be that far from its competitors…Recommend.

Waited at counter for 3-4 minutes yesterday while two women cleaned dishes, did not acknowledge me or take my order. I ended up leaving. I recommend Toastable for espresso; the employees are respectful

I got a lungo and my girlfriend got an americano. Both of them were so sour like they squeezed at least two lemons in one cup. It was not drinkable after taking two sips I had to stop. The athmosphere and the people working there are nice but when the coffee is not drinkable those dont matter. Paid 8 euros for nothing.
