Inconsistent service mainly due I believe to staff being overworked. I came in on a Saturday afternoon…ordered three footlong sandwiches…as the sandwich maker was making mine, seven online orders came in, and there were seven people behind me in line for 1 person behind the counter. Many people in line were mad as well as people that came in for their online order. I would recommend ordering meals on non-peak times. The employee was doing the best he could, but could not keep up with the volume of orders. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

I went in to pick up an order, and it took me over 45 minutes to receive it. When I did get my order, the staff complained about owners not providing enough staff despite multiple attempts to get another team member. Additionally, they ran out of bread and was told I had to wait 30-45min for a new batch to bake if I wanted a sandwich. I love Subway, and the staff member was calm in consideration of the situation, but it's sad to see people overworked and underpaid, and then complaining to customers about it. No tomatoes on a Monday at 1045? What kind of sandwich place has no tomatoes. Lettuce bins filled with brown lettuce? Who serves that? Used to be decent place. Won't be going back. I just went to an Monmouth subway ordered my two sandwiches got to the cash register to pay for them with my coupon like I always take him down there and he says we no longer except the coupons that are two or three sandwiches and of course you don’t know it because there’s no signs up anywhere, and a small sign by the cash register. Why don’t you have it on the door so when people come in, they know you don’t take so instead of my sandwiches being 1299 like what I thought it was paying they ended up being 2699. I will not ever go back there. You are gonna lose out on a lot of business because a lot of people use the coupons we can go to independence and use the coupon and that’s where I will send keep going. I will drive all the way there. I live two blocks from the Monmouth!And they don’t say nothing until you get a cash register or I would’ve not ordered my sandwiches. You need to have a sign at the front door so you know what you’re walking into!!!!! not after you’ve already make the sandwiches!!!!
Here I sit wishing there was a zero star rating. I didn't take a picture of my burnt sandwich because I assumed Subway would do the right thing and replace it for me. Not only was their response to my complaint insulting and rude, but I ended up with no refund, no replacement, not even a coupon. My sandwich wasn't even a sandwich as it was so burnt it was inedible. Beware! If you must eat there because you're literally starving, be sure to unwrap your sandwich and check it before leaving.
