We were hoping the Italian food at this place would be close to the Italian food we got with the previous owners. Not even close. Very disappointed. Glad we decided to split an entree. The garlic knots looked good when we got them, huge but nicely browned and fluffy inside but very little garlic and if there was olive oil as per description it might have had a slight brush of it to make the garlic stick. If there has been more oil and garlic or even butter and garlic they would have knocked it out of the park.
We ordeees spaghetti with meatballs and the menu said “your choice of sauce”. The nice young server we had started to walk off not asking what sauce and I stopped him and said we wanted meat sauce. Very fast service and the food came out. There was no meat sauce but a thin runny tomato sauce. No flavor at all. Hubby said the meatballs were ok but not good or great. I had maybe two bites of the spaghetti in the thin flavorless sauce and pushed it to the side. Even with having the appetizer and the main entree, we were in and out of there in about 15 mins….we then drove across the parking lot to Food City where I got a frozen meal for my dinner. :-(
We were really hoping this would be a “go to” restaurant when we came to Gatlinburg like the previous restaurant in that space but sadly it wasn’t and we won’t be back.
The best part of the whole experience was…well…look at the last picture. Priceless and oh so funny!
