Cool vibe in an amazing setting serving inspiring food. Staff seemed happy and knew how cool their food and drinks were, and were available for anything we needed. Bar was very low key enjoyable with great selections and great ambiance. Our table was in a room with some history to it, which our waiter was glad to share. Drinks, dinner, and desserts were all dynamite. Recommend and plan to return!

This was our 2nd visit! We celebrated Valentine’s Day this year and ordered the Pork Belly Burnt Ends for a appetizer. They had a special they were offering for Valentine’s Day, a 36 oz Tomahawk Steak with 2 sides and we added scallops. Oh my gosh! The best steak we have ever had! The scallops melted in your mouth and were so tender and full of flavor! The mashed potatoes were so creamy and flavorful and the Truffle fries are a must for me! I do not like truffles but these fries are amazing! Highly recommend and will be back to celebrate my husband’s birthday!

Steak
We had an early dinner with friends before a concert last evening.
Cory was our server and he was professional and delightful.
Our food (2 lobster meals) which were either undercooked or old, meaning they weren’t firm as lobster is, they were almost mealy. The third meal was a skirt steak. We were advised to order that med-rare which was the preference of our guest, it was tough and over salted.
My husband on the other hand had the duck breast which he said was great.
One of four isn't good when we spent almost $300.00.
I called today because I feel a restaurant should know when things are substandard and spoke with Julia (a manager).
I was told she would let the chef know which I also found mundane.
I wasn’t asking for anything but it would have been a nice gesture for her to offer a desert, glass of wine, etc…….. just saying!
I may go back but I’ll have to get over this negative experience.
There are other nice restaurants in Winston-Salem I can give my money to.

The wife and I went last night. I’ve been in the restaurant business for 22 years as chef and front of house. This was the best meal I’ve had in NC. Unreal. Flavors were perfect. Elegance and simplicity. The coal roasted carrots are phenomenal. To take carrots and pistachios and make something unforgettable, that’s the signs of a great chef. The duck with gnocchi with mole sauce was unreal. Savored every bite. Wife had salmon with risotto. Same thing. You will not be disappointed here. Please try.

Everything was amazing! Our server was wonderful, and attentive. The food was quick and utterly delicious! We got the Flatbread and the fried green tomatoes to start. Both very good, but the fried green tomatoes were heaven! We got the veal and trout which were both wonderfully prepared and we got sides of asparagus and carrots. All of the food was absolutely delicious! We finished with the key lime puffs which are an absolutely must try! I had the death before decaf and the 600°spritz and they were both lovely but desth before decaf was to die for!

Celebrated my birthday here on 8/7 and it was just -ok- Service was very lack luster and regardless of the price point the food was lacking flavor and the ribeye I ordered was very tough. We ordered a variety of dishes among the table and honestly I am struggling to remember them. Beautiful location and space but I would personally try somewhere else 1st before going back.
—edited it to drop a star because they also charged something like $15 to cut the cake we brought which they acted as if they were doing out of courtesy. Fair if it was a nice enough restaurant and service experience…but this wasn’t that.

This spot was so delicious we came here two nights in a row. On our first visit we had the pleasure of sitting at the bar next to the kitchen. Chef Sean and owner Ryan took such great care of us. We asked for the same spots when we came the next night and were not disappointed.
The menu is delicious and delivers on something you can't find anywhere else in the area. I was visiting from Chicago and would happily place this on par with some of my favorite James Beard Award restaurants there.
The Spicy Cucumbers, Burnt Ends, and the small plate Carrots dish are not to be missed. The duck mole gnocchi has a very soft quiet heat that anyone would enjoy - the big pieces of gnocchi are topped with a perfectly cooked duck. The Salmon risotto is flavorful, creamy and melts in your mouth. I hope you saved room for dessert because you have to try the smoked carrot cake. A hint of smoke with sweet caramel and the AMAZING ginger ice cream make this a meal for the books. Will be back every time I'm in town.
Everything was 😋 delicious!!!! From the Pork Belly Burnt Ends as an appetizer, to the Braised Beef Shoulder for the main course. And lastly, following it up with the fried apple pie with caramel drizzle, powder sugar and whipped cream for dessert, chef's kiss. Will definitely be back.
Newly opened restaurant for about a year now! Will return soon!
We ordered the pull apart bread and truffle fries as appetizers.
They were both very delicious. The pull apart bread is very thick and fluffy, and a little sweet hint with the butter and salt crystals on top. The truffle fries were perfect tasting but needed to be a bit larger pieces for dipping most were little scraps.
For entrées we both ordered a fillet with their unique side butter choices. Mine felt a little too thick so it seemed weird to smear it on my steak, but my husband’s was a little mouthy that he could pour it onto the steak like a sauce that felt a little bit better. They both tasted wonderful though.
So because this is a wood-burning kitchen, the steak definitely has a charge to it so next time I will make sure I order a medium rare because it was a little too dark on the outside, but it still tasted wonderful and was cooked correctly!
I loved their risotto and misomash!
This place feels rustic and modern…I love the atmosphere!
Gorgeous wine selection strewn about!
