Oh my. This is some of the best fried catfish I’ve had. I also had the greens and dirty rice and my wife got the mac and cheese. All of it was incredible. But the corn bread can’t be beat. Having grown up in the south, all this food was just like what my grandma made. The service was above exceptional. So much food that we’ll eat it again at least two more meals. Support these local businesses every chance you can because this is real family food.

It was like being invited to a friends house for a meal. Everyone was so inviting and friendly. You haven't had catfish and wings until you grab a meal here. The food was amazing!

My dad just ordered from her. She delivered it herself. I thought I was only getting Mac and cheese and catfish. I got fries, catfish, Mac and cheese, and greens. I love the breading for the catfish, it's a little spicy with lots of meat. The fillets were big and I got two. Oh and there's cornbread. It's so good, I definitely recommend.

I have spent a lot of money on food all over the world. Tonight joy cost me $70 because I asked Sheldon to let me try everything! I can only say WOW! My wife and daughters were over the moon on each item. The waffles were the best we have ever had, the jerk chicken reminded me of waking up in Jamaica after a long nite of drinking. The catfish was gone before I knew we were close to the bottoms of the plate. The sides of Mac and cheese, red beans and rice and collard greens were amazing. The candied yams tasted like a first course of dessert. We also had a strawberry cake which was a phenomenal second course of dessert. I am already planning parties around the amazing food and I also found out they have jerk fettuccini Alfredo coming soon. You must try!!

Shuggas is the best restaurant in town hands down. My family and I ordered takeout and the gentleman was very patient with us. Read back out order to make sure it was correct. I love that it's a small, family owned, local Christian owned business. We all had the Italian beef. This is the best in the state. The seasoning that they use on their fresh fries is sweet and salty. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you Shuggas.
My wife, son, and I decided to try out Shugga's last night and we were not disappointed. Their chicken wings were delicious. The French fries that came with them were done perfectly (and I'm from Idaho so I know my fries). And they gave us a lot of fries too. I thought that I hated cat fish but my son let me try his and it changed my mind. I'll definitely be ordering it next time. The people who attended us were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Had the first of many meals there yesterday, jerk catfish and grits. The jerk seasoning made my scalp sweat a little, in the way I find perfect for spicy food. Not so spicy that the pepper burns over all the other flavors, they're all there, all stepping up and showing off a little.
My friend had shrimp and grits, and the forkful I tried made me wish I was hungry enough for another entree. Would've ordered it for dessert.
We'll be back, and back, and back, sampling through the whole menu.
The interior is casual but I feel compelled to dress better than I did yesterday. This food deserves that show of respect. I showed up dressed to mow a lawn, and really should've been togged out for church. Live, learn, and eat so well!
Okay went in on a Sunday and order the 6 wings and yams and black eye peas. And a strawberry cheese cake. Well needless to say the blackeye peas taste water down and the chicken taste like the greases was old. The yams taste old and stale I was very disappointed by the food I was served. $26 down the tube I'm hoping it was and off day and maybe they can do better I was really take back by the chasse cake it taste like it sat for awhile. The only thing that was good out of the whole meal was the cornbread. Hope they can work with this foodie and do better I like to always give black owned business a shot.
