Nice store. There is a separate gluten free gf section at the front that is nice - but it creates a trap in that they then under stock other easy gf items elsewhere. For example - no normal gluten free chicken strips or nuggets. Bummer. Plenty of weird vegan plant based items - but missing the basics. No Tyson, etc.

Between Casey, Miles and Derek, I’m sorry if I got your name wrong The to go team is amazing! They are always so kind courteous, and they never complain about the weather that’s going on around them or about the complaints that I hear them getting. I only go to the Shaws because of the customer service. They go above and beyond and are so genuine.

I don’t typically write reviews but decided to here. I used to shop at this Shaws more but quality has gone down hill. I’ve gotten home from shopping here the past few times to find out several items I got were past their use by or sell by dates. Decide to stop shopping here after getting a bag of shredded cheese that was still within the sell by date but clearly tasted spoiled ( like it wasn’t refrigerated at one point). I started dealing with the crowds at the Hannaford across the street for better quality and prices.
Today (Jan 6 2024) Hannafords looked crowded so I went to Shaws instead. Was checking most sell by dates as I shopped. A lot of items at use by/sell by dates or close to it. Bought a thing of sour cream without thinking to check the use by date. Got home and went to use it to find the use by date was 12/25/2023. I bought it 12 days past the use by date! And it was in the front row. I find it mind boggling and disgusting that this is on their shelves and it reminded me why I stopped wasting my time shopping here.
Employees are nice though.

I went to Shaws to purchase some croissants, they are very very good there. Unfortunately they were all sold out so I did end up buying some lovely flowers. I love their array of flowers that are three bunches for $15. I love buying flowers there, they always seem to last I look very long time. I bought some stargazers and they're beautiful

Was shopping right at closing and time got away from me and it was 9 before I knew it! I was asked if I was all set and reminded of the time but they were so kind and made sure I had everything I needed before I left the store! Very friendly and accommodating will definitely be back :) thank you for your kindness!!

Please stop rearranging the store. It's difficult to find things now. I'm disappointed that they eliminated their natural food department. Shaw's occasionally has a few good deals, but you have to use the convoluted app or buy 5 items to get the discount. Market Basket has consistently lower prices, without having to jump through hoops to get a "deal". I'd rather have low price without gimmicks. Check your receipts. I have found that Shaw's often makes "mistakes" at the checkout (almost always an overcharge, rarely under).
Update: This long line with one checkout lane is unacceptable.

Extremely clean and well stocked! They had everything we were looking for to camp, including rubber bands (which I assumed I would have to go to a different place to buy).

I hadn't been in in a couple weeks and over that time I started the Keto diet. I'm not sure if I missed them before or if they are new but Thank You for the Keto Friendly signs. They are appreciated and helped me out shopping.

I use to love Shaw's name brand items, but they have dropped A LOT of them, so you have to buy name brand.
