We had the introductory menu, and it was amazing. The service was also friendly and they explained each food we got. Atmosphere was also nice, they have nice decorations and table setting! I'd give 6 stars if possible. The best restaurant in Utrecht. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We tried the chef's meat and vegan menus and they were really delicious. 😋 The restaurant offers three course meals, either by your choice of starter, main and dessert or preselected surprise menu from the chef to try all must-try dishes. An unexpected adventure in Utrecht. We had the three course introductory menu, which was really great and well explained by the staff. What a great place to eat. The service was excellent, very friendly, perfect English. The sample 3 course menu was absolutely delixious. Sadly we couldn't finish everything. Absolutely worth a visit! Afghanistan cuisine was new to us, and we just thought to give it a try when bumping into this restaurant in Utrecht. Staff was very kind to help us to find a table, and serve the meals quickly but professionally as we had limited time. We tried the surprise 3-course menu which covered 60% of the dishes on the menu card, and found ALL OF THEM very delicious! Some dishes a little bit spicy, but absolutely tasty. The food reminded us of Indian and Lebanese cuisine, but the spice was milder and with its unique taste and flavor. The restaurant was also very child-friendly and surprised us again at the end. Opted for the surprise menu, as we didnt know what to order. The starters were super nice, the main dish consisted of 2 rice dishes, and we got a bunch of sides with it. Dessert was really good too. A shockingly great meal with new flavors in every bite. The ‘sampling’ dinner at 35 euros was well worth it, and left me wondering why restaurants all over the world don’t copy the idea. A don’t miss if visiting Utrecht.

Was here with a group from work. I've never had Afghan food so can't comment on authenticity.. I did have a really nice meal. Different starters, different mains, excellent desserts! Cooking to me seemed somewhere between Kashmir and Iranian. Fairly mild, very automatic. Everything was good but the slow cooked chicken really stood out, so tender and juicy! I had the vegetarian 3-course surprise menu. It tasted okay but nothing stood out and it was lacking variation. Portions were small. Two pieces of bread for three people, half-full plates of rice, mini bowls with the different dishes. As desert two small scoops of ice cream with two almond nuts.
