KC Restaurant Week!! Visited Roots for the first time on Restaurant Week Brunch. Everything was very good and the service was great as well. We sat in the bar area but was just as good as the regular area. We all got the lobster deviled eggs, and they were super good. We all shared the tiramisu donut holes, which they are so good!!!! I got the avocado salmon toast and wow that was leveled and really good. Everyone else got the biscuits and gravy, and honestly, the biscuits were a little too crispy and not too fluffy on the inside. Gravy was a little too thin, and the meat I couldn't taste it. Black forest cake was good, had moist chocolate, and had very good cream inside. The cookies and cream was described as toasted vanilla but was just plain vanilla ice cream. I do suggest the apple cider mimosas. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Avocado Toast

Checking out some new places on Restaurant Week and "Roots. Seasonal Cuisine" caught my eye. It was close and had a really interesting looking menu. I'm SO glad I went! It was really good, with a great menu--and the staff was really friendly. I'm glad to have such a great choice nearby! Recently visited this establishment with a friend. From the moment I walked in the door to meet her, I was impressed. The restaurant is very inviting and offers outside seating options as well. Service was prompt with our waitress Leslie coming over immediately to greet us with a smile and offer to take our drink and food orders. She was patient as she waited for us to decide from all the delectable looking options. She also offered suggestions as we asked questions about various menu items. I ordered the Fajita Wrap and my friend got the Salmon Poke Bowl. The food arrived promptly and was fresh. Her bowl looked AMAZING and she raved about the chili sauce that came with it. My wrap was incredibly delicious. The portion sizes were great and I felt there was a lot of value for the money. We also got a cocktail🍸. It was called a Session Shady and it was esthetically appealing and tasted even better. A waitress walked by with this cake that looked over the top and delicious. It was carrot cake for another table. I was so full but I'll definitely be ordering that next time. The menu changes about every four months to accommodate the restaurant being able to offer fresh, delectable and in season fare. If you haven't visited this restaurant do yourself a favor and do so. If you have then please keep supporting them because as you must now know, they're great and if you're on the fence get off of it and give them a try. I really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning for a new taste adventure soon. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I absolutely adore this restaurant. My husband and I eat dinner here about once per month, and we love the seasonal menus. The salads are always creative and delicious, and all the local in-season veggies are always perfectly cooked. I'm a vegetarian and often order an arrangement of sides - the veggies and risotto are my favorites. A few months ago, they had a stuffed peppadew appetizer that I still dream about. Definitely in my top 3 favorite restaurants in Lee's Summit! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Hidden gem at the edge of Lee's Summit. Managers and owners are incredibly nice. The food is stellar. Dan is impressed with what comes out of the kitchen there. Seasonal is very fresh and preferred expertly and very well. Only drawback is Sunday is only brunch until dinner. Food is phenomenal. Visited for the first time for lunch today and the food and service was absolutely outstanding. Roots deserves more than 5 stars. Our server was on top of everything, extremely knowledgeable, and took amazing care of us. The manager was also super attentive and checked in with us as well! The calamari was one of my favorites, didn’t get a pic but the sauce that comes with it was fantastic. We will definitely be back soon! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50
