Had me the Italian sub with freshly sliced gabagool. All I can say is fa get about it! It reminded me of when I was just a little bambino on the streets of Brooklyn playing stick ball in Bensonhurts. Oh!! Mamamia, those were the days! Me, Tony, Vito and Lil Pauly ran those streets. I started getting in trouble and my mama "God rest her soul" shipped me off to Arizona. Glad I found this place. I consider these guys friends of mine now.
Where has this place been all of my life? With Goodfellasesque oldies playing at the perfect volume, I ordered a chicken parm sub as and I give it a 10 out of 10. The bread was obviously made by them and I'd love to know how I can get my home baked bread to be even close to that. The crumb cake was just the right amount of sweetness, fluffy yet substantial with a hint of cinnamon in the crumb top and it did not dry out like other crumb cakes I have eaten elsewhere. The plain cannoli was better than Mikes in the north end in Boston. Yes, I said better. The service was exceptional as well and even if it wasn't, I would go back. I would share pics, but I ate it all already so maybe next time. Thanks Romanellis for being there when I can't bring myself to cook and when I need some exceptional Italian food as good as my grandma Mary made.
