I love this place. The original was amazing but it still maintains some of the magic. The grilled cheese is epic. As in cheddar cheese, two slices, grilled with a lid over it for perfect crispiness. Fries are fantastic. Lots of options of bakery items, salads, diet drinks, and even sushi. My husband and I came here for a date once.
Oh and they have epic pancakes that are 59 cents and HUGE.

Great food for a very reasonable price any day of the week, but hope and pray that Troy is behind the counter he makes the BEST food! Anything you order off the grill menu, Troy will make it the best with the utmost care and attention. If you are extra lucky to come in when it's not busy and he has time, he also makes fantastic secret menu items. Ask him about his better than Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, Troy's turkey bacon avocado, or my personal favorite the belly busting breakfast bagel! The added cost of the secret menu items is more than worth it as the quality is sublime!

I’ve never actually eaten at the Cafe. I had my first baby in February 2023 and I would order food to my room. I ordered from them 3 days in a row. Every single thing I ordered was really good and filling. The room service was always quick. It’s really good for a hospital cafeteria. My husband and I both enjoyed it. I think it was the best part of my hospital stay.

Very tasty. Had grilled chicken on sourdough bread with cheese bacon lettuce and tomato. Fries and a drink for nine dollars and a little change. Got full on just half of it. For hospital dining it is above what I expected. Wil eat there again.

When you think of food in a hospital, generally the word "good" isn't used in the same sentence . . . This is not the case for the river rock cafe. They had good food at excellent prices all hours of the day or night.

I had unexpectedly spent the day at Utah Valley Hospital, so I took my granddaughter to the cafe to get something to eat. The prices were very reasonable and the food looked great, and my granddaughter and daughter were happy with what the got. I saw a charge come through that seemed to be an overcharge so I reached out to talk to someone at the cafe. They were totally awesome! Very kind and thorough in finding the answers I needed. Thank you Debbie and Katie, best customer service ever! Had I been able to try the food, I'm sure I could have given a rating of 5 stars.
12-5-22 5PM Just went down to eat and the kid behind the counter didn't make eye contact or acknowledge our question. We asked him 3 times if he had tomato soup, and he finally said give me a minute. He was trying to fix a hamburger he messed up for the guy in front of us by taking everything off one bun and just putting it on another rather than making him another. Another guy came up and asked the kid something and he ignored him, he was a hospital worker, he went and grabbed who I think was the manager but we just walked out. Worst service ever, if he doesn't like his job he needs to quit.

I have enjoyed eating at River Rock Cafe in the past, but I had a really bad experience this afternoon (5:00 pm, 06/12/19). While the food was good, and the prices were very affordable, the customer service was abysmal! There was only one person serving at the grill area, and she moved at sloth speed. Besides being slow, she kept up a conversation with her fellow worker at the pizza/ pasta station, ignoring the customers. She left, without apology, to get a case of Styrofoam "clam shells", and was exceedingly slow in getting it open and getting on with serving the customers, who were lining up. She was cold and unfriendly - basically had zero customer interaction skills. No apology for the long wait. She obviously didn't care about the customers and basically acted like she had totally checked out. I guess she had, because when I finally got the hamburger I had ordered, after a 15 minute wait, she had forgotten to put the meat patty on the bun. Bad, bad service.
