The waiting times are insane. It took us 4h to have a 3 course dinner. After the starter, we had to wait for almost 1h to get the main course. I had ordered duck chest which came raw. I was asked whether I liked the main course (thus 2 stars), I gave my feedback and the best I could get was, "we're sorry, we'll let the cook know". Very disappointing for an expensive place that wants to seem sophisticated. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Did a 3 course menu with wine arrangement. Not bad, but somewhat bland and not really imaginative for the price. Nice cosy atmosphere though. Price per person €70–80 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Fantastic food, French cuisine style, near the Pieterskerk in Leiden. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. Had the white fish (cod/heek) with a nice viognier wine. Delicious! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We ordered food to be delivered on a Saturday evening. The ordering process was easy enough, and the delivery arrived as expected. The food was delicious, as were the (re)heating instructions. Not only was the food delicious, but it looked great as well. I would definitely recommend.

Classic cooking with twist. Everything was so well balanced. Wine and food are well paired And service was pretty much the best I have ever seen in Leiden Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €50–60

Quite the experience, 4 hours for 5 courses.. You can look into the kitchen, i have never in my life seen plates prepped so slowly. One set of plates (only containing raw food) took 30 minutes to complete! And that was not the exception, i never heard a restaurant so devoid of cutlery sounds. nobody had food. If the wait wasnt bad enough, the food portions were so small my girlfriend who eats little to nothing was able to clean her plates. I left the restaurant hungrier than i arrived. The waiter indicated they realized it took long and offered free coffee, we indicated we did not drink coffee and the offer went down to free water essentially. Asking for a small amaretto was denied, the boss would get angry then. The boss was standing 1 meter away from us, i regret not pulling him into the concersation. By now i was tired, hungry and dissatisfied, then the bill came. My girlfriend had 2 drinks, which they had down as 5. And those drinks werent cheap. After pointing out the mistake, the waiter was visibly shaken, first time i saw anybody care about their customers. Stammering through apologies he expressed hope to see us again. How nice.. Why bother eating here if you can go to the "In den gapende eeter" nearby. Now thats a high end restaurant who knows their business. Take my advice, eat there

Nice hidden gem in the Center of Leiden. We always try to go to the places outside of the main streets and it always pays off. We had a really good 3 course menu and they can advise very well about the wines.
