In the town center of Hoorn you will find this place located in one of the oldest historical buildings of the town. The serve food and drinks and have a big terrace. The food is ok, the prices are not. For example the Cesar salad as shown in one of the pictures will cost you 14 euros... So beware..

Nice restaurant located on the red square in beautiful and historic downtown Hoorn. The restaurant is housed inside the oldest building in the town which used to be an old weigh station for market goods. Much of the history has been preserved making it a very interesting environment. Food is fine, standard menu and service is friendly enough. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very nice restaurant in an old historical building! The food is and drinks are a good price and the historical atmosphere make it a must visit in Hoorn! I saw they also serve a really cheap breakfast till 10:00 in the morning so if your in the area make sure to make use of that ;)

Great spot right at the market square and a beautiful historic building that eas built in 1609. This building used to be the center of the cheesemarket. In terms of atmosphere there is no better spot to sit down and look around at the beautiful buuldings and people. We sat down for a quick lunch and a drink. Staff was quite young but very friendly and fast eventough it was crowded they were actually very attentive to guests wanting to order or pay. The food was simple but tastefull. Just a decent lunch and with the location and staff I would definitely recommend this place. This is one of those tourist traps you really want to avoid. Business model is aimed at tourists who once go to this place and never come back. The terrace is filthy, pigeons have pooped everywhere under the seats. Nobody cares to clean it. If you sit close to the building, there will be musky-moldy smell as well, coming out of the basement. Location beats the competition. Service super slow and not very attentive. Pigeons and crows fight over leftovers on other tables. Nice place… well kept. Decent food. However, not very kids friendly. They didn’t allow us to give home cooked food for a 1 year old kid. Had to go out! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

We wanted to have a nice morning coffee and instead we’ve got dirty cups and plates and not tasty coffee. After asking to pay we were waiting for 15 minutes while there were almost no other customers. Tho they have heaters and the location is nice.
