The restaurant is surrounded by history at Fredriksten Fortress. A great place to eat, but you have to book a stable before you arrive. They have a set menu, where you can select 3, 5 or 7 courses with a wine or non alcoholic menu. The service isv excelent and they have a nice atmosphere. Small cosy restaurant,with great view..5 course menu,amazing staff and wonderful chef...Every food i tasted was delicious...👌👌👌This Chef here really deserves the appreciation...🏆🏆🏆🥇🏅 Only local produce from the farms around..a big plus for that !!! 🤗❣👌

Best food experience I've had in Norway. This place is on par with many Michelin star restaurants. Very service oriented people work there, especially the executive Chef Sebastian. Exclusive place for special occasions. The quality of food and service justify the price but I don't understand the rationale behind charging 85 Kr for bottled sparkling water.

Dinner at Curtisen is the epitome of dining experiences. The specially prepared food is easily among the most delicious and highest quality we have ever had. The wine pairings were phenomenal. The best part of the meal though has to be the personal attention from the staff. From the head chef Sebastian, apprentice chefs Vilde and Theodor, to hovmester Øystein, they treat you like family visiting their home - warm and friendly. Food, wine, service, ambience all good. Could only fault they on one tiny little point, which basically just proved we were in Norway. No spoon with the otherwise excellent coffee, had to ask for sugar. That was it. 😁😉

This restaurant has a very high attention to detail and focus on quality produce in their dishes. This is top national/world leven cooking. Each dish is presented and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available. But beware, you should have good conversation partners at the table, because it can take some time to finish all the dishes.

Curtisen had really excellent food and very attentive service in a special location. We chose the 5 course menu - which had plenty of food and several surprising amuse-bouches. Definitely worth the trip!
