This place has a big hype for its breakfast burritos. So my husband and I decided, let's take a drive to the other side of Santa Cruz and try it out. The first thing we noticed was the ambiance. It was very beautiful and is located right off the beach. So the perfect place to grab some quick food and go sit at the beach. The inside was pretty interesting as well, to have a quite big selection of hot sauces from all over the world. So that's kind of fun to choose one for a burrito, but when it came down to the actual food, it was pretty Mediocre.
I don't think I will go and buy a burrito from there. Again, I wasn't very fond of the type of sausage they use inside there. And when I requested avocados on the side, there were avocados inside.
These are minor things. But for me, the major thing cuz breakfast burritos made they're made of basic eggs, sausage, and potatoes if any of those three things are not in cohesive flavor then that can ruin the whole burrito. And that's pretty much what happened to me. The sausage taste day old and not enough potatoes but hey to each their own.
The best burrito we have ever had. Try any of them. Cash only for that nostalgic, pre-tech experience.
Plus, you can always snag basic first aid, toothbrushes, snacks, drinks, and anything else you may need for a stay in Santa Cruz.
Very friendly staff and SUPER tasty food. Best breakfast burritos in town. Great selection of bits and bobs, extremely well stocked. Appreciate your work, yall!
Santa Cruz for breakfast? Gotta get a wrap at the Point. Then stroll down the coast at one of the most popular places to surf. This is a cash only bodega, with an ATM machine. Burritos, quesadillas and sandwiches too.
Use to be good food was way better 10 years ago prices weren't. now it's all wanna be's and valleys and transplants. Price are over top and selection is meager staff just scowl at you and the cooks well leave slot to be desired! Just saying!
The breakfast burritos were excellent, we tried the Barrel, which is the most popular item on their menu, but our favorite was Mexi-Cali with asada and chorizo. Definitely worth visiting again
If you found my review helpful, please like it 👍🏼. I stumbled upon The Point Market researching for delicious food places in the area. My friends biked from San Jose to this beautiful area and we thought having dinner here would be a great place to start. As of October 2021, The Point Market had over 4 stars and a lot of raving reviews including their amazing breakfast burritos. Maybe we went on the wrong day, maybe we had a decent staff, maybe we were just unlucky but the four of us in the party weren't impressed. I ordered a Cali Breakfast Burrito while my friends ordered Fried Artichokes, Captain's Plate, Pastrami Sandwich, and Cheeseburger. It tasted ... decent ... but nothing to rave about nor motivates any of us to return. The place is very close to the surf beaches along with beautiful homes and parks. Parking wasn't horrible after 5:00PM and tons of folks went in and out. The staff was also very kind and helpful too. Regardless, I wouldn't recommend this place to our friends or family for food ... but will return if I need to get a pack of gum or something expected from a convenience store.
Fantastic breakfast burritos and friendly service! My wife and son loved their "taco style" (gluten free) vegan burrito. Be sure to get plenty of their hot sauce to put on top.
