When we first came in the place smelt so bad I wanted to leave immediately but we were hungry and this was the only Mexican restaurant in town. It was not that clean spotted a dead bug by our table and the condiments. The rice was clumped and old tasting my husband said his food was very bland. My steak taco was very bland the only thing was not bland was my steak. The service was great they were very attentive I would not go back ever. I hate to leave bad reviews but honestly I had to.

We stopped in shortly after they opened on a Monday. We were the second party in the restaurant. (2 in our party) The waitress took our order and per the usual, our order came out quickly. I got the lunch serving of fajitas. Not much flavor, and half way into my first fajita, there was something odd in my mouth. It was a piece of plastic wrap. I recieved an apology after I pointed it out, but that was all. My boyfriend had a steak burrito which also was lacking in flavor and the onions and peppers that the menu claimed it would be loaded with. Very disappointed.

Chimichanga
Great dining experience! This restaurant is a hidden gem in St. James, MN. My wife and I found it by accident and we were very pleased we decided to go there. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was authentic Mexican. The prices are reasonable and the portions are very substantial. Very highly recommend!

I came to at this place and I always order the same thing so I now what I get and this time the piece of meat they gave me was less then half of what they always give me very unhappy when I told the waiter and he talked to the cook but they not fix it I was told that was it that's all I get very disappointed this will be my last time coming here
Plaza Jalisco has always served me well with great food and service. No question, this is where I would take an out of town guest if I wanted them to think well of our town. The prices seem quite stable also, given inflation these days.
