In the Dunedin area after a couple early appointments and looking for a brunch spot. A quick check of higher ratings pulled up Pete’s. And the comments affirmed that, so we were off. Found it easily and glanced at today’s specials then were seated immediately.
We glanced over the menu. My eyes caught the Biscuits & Gravy but then I spotted the
Pete’s Scramble. Biscuits & Gravy with scrambled eggs & cheese, topped with crisp Bacon! It was tough because everything looked great. Especially the food at the tables around us.
My wife discovered the Scramble Bowl. It reminded her of her Father’s Hillbilly Stew served three times a day when squirrel hunting with Dad and three boys. One pound Bacon fried crisp. Add one large Onion diced and 5 pounds of par boiled potatoes. Then finish with a dozen eggs. Sounded boring when I joined them but after several hours walking in the woods, it was great.
I also ordered a side of cheese grits to share but both our plates were huge, so half went home for another day.
Service was great, food was excellent. Great prices. My wife is already planning to bring her girlfriends here!

Yum yum! Adding this one to our breakfast rotation!! Super-friendly service. Sheree was wonderful! ❤️ Fast and fresh food. Solid portions. Gyro omlette and Pete's Scramble didn't stand a chance.

It was our first time at the restaurant. It was pretty busy, but the service was quick and friendly. Our food arrived quickly and everything was tasty and cooked as ordered. The coffee service was nice, too. A waitress came around 3 times to offer refills.

Went to Pete’s with my two brothers from Ma. One of them recognized a picture of a Diner on the wall. It was a Diner in Fall River Ma and still in business today.

Great place to eat. Perfect diner atmosphere with great customer service. Breakfast was terrific. My wife marveled over her eggs, Benedict, and I had a breakfast bowl that I substituted scrambled eggs for poached. I'm looking forward to trying their meat loaf.

I had high hopes about this place given all the good reviews, and It wasn't terrible, but I guess I just expected more. Food was blah and a little on the pricey side for what it was, and it took a while to come out. Some people got there after us but got food before us. I'm sure they were regulars though, some of the waitresses called people by name and I did like that aspect.

Awesome YUM! Delicious brunch on a Sunday. First time visit and delighted by the welcome, seeing groups of regulars and great food. Crab cake Benedict had spinach and tomato. My perfect desired combo. Hubby loved the Brooklyn Benedict, only one we’ve seen on a bagel. . Bacon perfectly crispy. And… for tea drinkers, you get a cup of hot water and pot that makes two more cups. Hooray! Definitely recommend! *****

Eds resturant reviews- The prices were great but the food was just ok. My wife did not like the turkey bacon at all. The rest of the breakfast was ok. Definatly worth thr price.
