I had the ribs with mashed potatoes and cold slaw. The ribs were time and okay. The mashed potatoes I enjoyed and the cold slaw was under seasoned. Overall the food was fine, but nothing breathtaking. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was stunned by how amazing this place was. Not only was that the nicest burger I've ever eaten (seriously) but the service was also as perfect as the super cool & elegant ambiance. It will 100% be the first place I revisit when coming back to Geilo. I don't even usually leave reviews but I had to for this place. Trust me, go and eat here! The most delicious food I have ever eaten in my life! And I am not lying. Mushroom soup was one of the best creamy soups I have ever eaten, and nachos were incredible. 11/10. My family members also ate salmon, which they really enjoyed. Huge thanks to the Masters in the kitchen - you can't call them otherway! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Women standing in the bar wasn't happyto see us. She didn't knew Norwegian and English. She didn't knew what restaurant had or didn't had. Showing us from the beginning to the end that she wasn't care about this place. Even when kids was coming in the bar and asked about water she wasn't smiling to them. When the restaurant closed, we were still sitting with drinks and we were just told to leave the glasses at the table. Never have we tried this kind of service. Plus the ice cream that the kids got was full of ice crystals. We will never come here again 😢

Delicious food and great environment, a bit expensive!
Good atmosphere, beers, vibe, friendly staff, and great food for a hungry traveler
We came late (just before closing), but we were still happily served. Excellent service, very friendly and fantastic food. Can really recommend the Cesar salad, the ham and cheese toast and the fries!!

Nicely located in Geilo center with good place both inside and outside for sitting. The menu is small but nicely organized. Bit on expensive side but the quality of food justifies the price. Quantity is sufficient for satisfying a decent hunger. Definitely worth a visit if looking for a quick snack while going around the center area.

Came here after a long hike on the beautiful slopes neighboring Geilo and it was the perfect spot to relax and have a beer. The brie and bacon toast was excellent and the people taking our orders were very friendly and welcoming. I hope to return in my next visit!
It was a cold day in November when we were in Geilo, somewhere in the middle of our roadtrip across this beautiful country. It was a long day of driving and we were starving at 2pm. We wanted one thing : food. As simple as that sounds though, it wasn't. It never is when it comes to food. We wanted fish, we wanted alcohol as well with it, we wanted something delicious but also something that did not kill our pockets and of course we wanted a nice time. Perleporten gave us all of those! We had their fish as we wanted and it did not disappoint. Despite the busy hours, our meals came to us in reasonable time and warmed our bellies. Their staff was quite friendly too and of course we really loved being able to pay with our cards and phones (I know this is nothing new for Norway - but visiting from Germany this is a huge deal). I would also recommend grabbing a 'Solo' which is a fizzy orange flavoured drink with your fish here. They have interesting seating with couch seating, traditional restaurant table-chair setup, but also a coffee table and couch setup and to complete it all even a high rise table with high chairs going on. Also another small tip : you should go order up at the counter, they do not wait on tables - nothing wrong with it at all though. Go here for a nice time with your family and friends.
