2pm March 7,2024. Dubuque. The hostess was extremely rude. Please teach what customer service means! We waited several minutes to pay the bill. Looked around the counter to the kitchen and asked to pay our bill. Waited several more minutes before she came out. When mentioned we weren’t happy to wait she raised her voice and said “I was busy.” We had expected a polite acknowledgment or apology, not a rude put down. Totally ruined our experience. Visited on Monday, February 19, 2024. I normally do not write reviews but I believe the staff deserves a thumbs up! Esther was our waitress. I had a great breakfast at this place was greeted by Ricky a fabulous gentleman that allowed me to sit where I wanted to. Drinks came very quickly and the drinks kept coming never had to wait. Food was hot and absolutely wonderful. Ricky seem to be great at what he does. 5 stars for him. Wow. I don’t even know what to say. Terrible service. Two of us dining and we waited 45 minutes just to get our first drink refill!!! Server walked past us several times and avoided us. We ultimately got our first refills from a kitchen help from the back after bringing us our food. The food was not good but was edible. When we did not tip due to this poor service the waitress who only helped us twice rudely said “thanks” sarcastically. Audrey and Janika were Great. The new Kitchen staff (Sam and crew) was excellent. The manager (Ricky) was kind and Polite. We would definitely recommend this restaurant. I waited at the Hostess stand for over 10 minutes without one person acknowledging my presence. The Manger walked by a couple of times to pick things up from the stand but didn't acknowledge my presence (there were other guests that were ignored as well). The restaurant wasn't even half full. When a waitress finally came over after I made a comment, she was extremely rude. We left the restaurant and went where we were treated respectfully. There are not many breakfast restaurants in Dubuque but I know I will never go back to be treated so poorly. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
