One of the best ice cream shops in Leiden. Situated right in the centrum. They have different flavours of ice creams. Try their pistachio and white ice creams. They are delicious and so creamy. The staffs are amazing. We would always visit this shop whenever we are in Leiden.

Shortly after you walk through the adorable "gate to Leiden" you walk through brick streets lined with countless cafes, restaurants and boutique shopping stores. One of the first spots you come across is Soetenso and it is certainly one of the best! The confectionery delicacies are absolutely delicious and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend a pop in to Soetenso for a bag full of goodies!
Very delicious and tasty ice cream. I bought rum raisin, my daughter bought coconut, rum and caramel , my son bought vanilla.. all those are nice.
If you visit Leiden , give it a try. You won’t regret it.

This is the most brilliant patisserie. It looks like an icecream shop from outside, and yes, their icecream is delicious. But their chocolate is by far the most amazing in Leiden, and their cakes! Their CAKES!
I mean, I really enjoy the classic banket baker's cream cakes and fruit toppings and chipolatas and such, but if you want a fancy Patisserie concoction, please do yourself a favor and get one of the Soetenso cakes. Since the old Patisserie in Oegstgeest closed, I've missed proper layers of exquisite combinations, biscuit bottom, mousse, cake, compote, cream etc in perfect harmony, and Soetenso does it -- chef's kiss. And they have 2012 prices for the end of 2021 right now. Guys, come on. You're Amazing!!!!
