Let's start with the pros: the self-order system is really helpful. However, when my order was ready, nobody called me or I couldn't see anything on the screen. I believe the screen is only for dine-in orders. I ordered a steak sandwich, but it hardly seems worth $15. I found the food to be overpriced when compared to its quality and size. I was part of a group that went to Panera for coffee after our meeting because it was convenient and we could always find a large table. I hadn’t been back since I left the group so I thought I’d give the place a try for lunch. On the positive side, the service was great. The buzzer they gave me didn’t work when my food was ready, but an especially cheerful person came looking for me on the patio when I didn’t pick it up. The person who took my order was also very upbeat. And it was nice to see one of the workers spending lots of time spray-cleaning the tables… with a smile! Unfortunately, I can’t say anything good about the food. I ordered their Signature Take Chicken Sandwich. It’s served on a brioche roll with a few spring greens, little parmesan-flavored crisps (which I skipped), and garlic aioli. You can pick one free side dish: either a little French baguette (an odd choice with a sandwich), an apple, or a small bag of chips. The brioche roll was fresh but the chicken was completely dried out. I think it had been sitting around for a while. It was also much smaller than the picture implied. Even though the staff was excellent, the food was just ordinary. I’m not a big fan of large chain restaurants anyway, so I don’t have any compelling reason to return. Panera is comfort food and drink. I belong to the "SIP Club" and often go for coffee or cold drinks. The baked products at Panera a good including their bagels, breads, and pastries. Disappointed over their service. No customization whatsoever. I asked for less sugar in my coffee drink and by the time it got from the cashier to the actual person making it, the message got lost. Also they forgot to add bread to my soup order. It's frustrating having to quality control every order. No one seems to care about their customers. Also, Panera is stuck in their outdated ways. It's 2023 and they don't have a single gluten free item on their menu. Won't be back. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Got one of their new sandwiches....the Mozzarella and pepperoni one...is was basically blah. The bread part was good. Hardly seems worth $12.00 for 2/3s of a baguette with some tasteless cheese and pepperoni. The staff was very nice and friendly but the food wasn't that great ....seems to be a new trend in fast food. Make the staff nice and friendly so maybe the customer won't complain about the below par and over priced food. Also very noticeable in the bigger food chains...just so so food with higher and higher prices...time to really support the locally owned restaurants.
