Such a cute hidden gem downtown! The atmosphere and decorations were stunning throughout the restaurant. It definitely felt like a hidden oasis! The cocktails were AMAZING. Some of the most unique and favorable cocktails on the island. We ordered multiple rounds of cocktails, including the dessert ones. Definitely recommend the Paradise cocktail. Furthermore, the food was excellent. Every meal was presented beautifully and filled with flavor. I ordered the octopus which was AMAZING, definitely recommend! Our waitress put in our groups appetizer wrong but was apologetic and the correct appetizer came out quickly after she realized her mistake.

First time visiting Palapa and won't be the last. We were greeted by the beautiful hostess, Chris, and we immediately felt right at home. Our server, Jeandralica (also stunning) was exceptional. She made sure our meals were prepared properly and kept the cocktails flowing. The rest of the wait staff did a fantastic job too.
Steak was cooked to perfection and the sea bass was delicious. Try the foiegras, it was wonderful. Prices were reasonable for the quality and the atmosphere was beautiful. Can't wait to be back again!

We went for drinks twice and loved it. Palapa may have the coolest interior of any restaurant I've seen, and I think it was all built by the owners. Sadly we didn't have a chance to eat here, and I'm really sorry we didn't make it to one of the club nights - I bet these are really fun.

Amazing atmosphere and delicious food! The cocktails were also impressive. One of our party said it was the best meal of his entire life.

One of my favorite dinners. The steaks were so good. I had the new zealand filet. Amazing drinks. Paradise was my absolute favorite on the island. Great club vibe on weekends. But a little quieter on weeknights.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was splendid. They appeared to be short staffed as the service was not on par with the food and ambiance. The service we got was actually charming and attentive, just long lulls of not seeing anyone, empty cocktail glasses, wanting things but no one around to ask, etc. But the food was soooo incredible it was worth the wait.

Our dinner experience at Palapa Grill and Lounge last night was next level fantastic!!
We arrived off our sailboat via dinghy, it is right on the Laguna and accessible both by water or land. The restaurant has just been renovated and re-launched by talented architect-owner Barbara, who we had the pleasure of meeting.
Ambience - an amazing cross between an Arabian Nights oasis and Alice in Wonderland, with comfy lounges, soft lighting, and unique decorations… check out the gold panther by the bathrooms. The pool with bridge is a perfect Instagram photo spot, while the the porthole window at the main bar beautifully frames the Laguna lights.
Drinks - the cocktails are amazing, and the presentation is an experience in itself!! I tried the Jack Sparrow, rum based with cinnamon and a dried orange garnish which was lit on fire to provide a smoky flavor.
Food - everything we tried was amazing… From appetizers (sushi & lobster cakes) to steak with chimichurri and sea bass. I had the off-menu special, a delicately fried triggerfish with almond encrusted coating.. a gourmet twist on fish and chips. We got to meet the talented chef Shane who recently spent time cooking in New York and brings a fresh flavor take to classic dishes.
Service - from front reception to the general manager to the bartenders to our server - everyone was off the charts friendly and helpful. Every detail was considered, including little chairs for your purse/bag and little ice buckets to keep your wine bottle or water chilled. After dinner, we had the opportunity to have conversations with the General Manager and chef, who had fascinating backgrounds and life stories.
In a nutshell, don’t miss this unique gem - a perfect combo of French-level gourmet cooking with the internationally glamorous yacht vibe on the Dutch side …🤩

Hands down the worst cocktails in the Caribbean. It takes next level s#it service to win this award.....the bar staff unfortunately have no idea how to make cocktails. Which is a shame. And if you think serving an expresso martini in a plastic cup is acceptable then crack on... its actually the worst expresso martini I have seen on the entire planet......nothing worse then unmotivated staff who clearly couldn't care less. I would be very embarrassed serving this...
