The best Indian food I’ve had in years. Dining at Pakwaan was a real treat. The Aloo Tikki was absolutely phenomenal - both refreshing and spicy, hot and cold at the same time. My family and I shared the Pani Puri, Chilli Chicken, Daal Tadka and the Chicken Jalfrezi. Each dish was bold, fragrant and seasoned to perfection in its own unique way. The service, food and atmosphere were all incredible - I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Thank you Pakwaan team for a fabulous night! The best Indian food in the Netherlands. I have been living in NL for 2 years but this is by far the best Indian food I have had here. Service by Konchok reminded me of the hospitality of Rajasthan. The food, the vibe and last but not least music is amazing. A must visit to get the authentic Indian taste. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic Indian restaurant, and I must say, it was an experience that delighted my taste buds! The Dal Makhani was an absolute standout - rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful; it was simply delicious, leaving me craving for more. Pairing it with their Garlic Naan was a stroke of genius - the naan was amazing, perfectly cooked and served as the ideal companion to the Dal Makhani, enhancing every spoonful of its delectable taste. The Soya Masala Chaap was another highlight of the meal. It brought a burst of flavors that was simply outstanding. The spice level was just right, adding an extra kick to this already fantastic dish. The overall dining experience was exceptional, and these particular dishes stood out for their quality, taste, and the perfect balance of flavors. I highly recommend trying these specialties when you visit this Indian restaurant. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food and people were very nice, good location , tasty chicken malais and very cream and rich dal. I liked the saffran in the lassi, very nice touch! But they need to invest on their extraction/ventilation systeme because you walk away from the restaurant all your clothes smell the tandoori spices. During my recent dining experience at Pakwaan Indian Food in Amsterdam, I had the pleasure of savoring some delectable Indian cuisine. While the food impressed me with its rich flavors and authenticity, the service provided by the staff left much to be desired. Here's a comprehensive review of my visit: Let's begin with the highlight of the restaurant: the food. Pakwaan serves a diverse range of Indian dishes that truly capture the essence of the cuisine. From aromatic biryanis to flavorful curries and delectable tandoori preparations, the menu offers a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes. The quality of ingredients was commendable, and the flavors were bold and authentic, making for a memorable culinary experience. However, the service provided by the staff was average at best. While they were generally polite, there was a lack of attentiveness and promptness. It took a while to get the attention of a waiter upon arrival, and even then, the service felt rushed and lacking in personal touch. Requests for additional condiments or water refills were often forgotten or took longer than expected to fulfill. There was room for improvement in terms of attentiveness and ensuring a seamless dining experience. The ambiance of Pakwaan Indian Food was pleasant but fell short of being exceptional. The decor was simple and lacked a distinctive Indian flair that would have enhanced the overall dining atmosphere. The seating arrangements were comfortable but slightly cramped, particularly during peak hours. While the noise level was generally manageable, it could get a bit loud during busy periods, affecting the overall dining experience. When it comes to pricing, Pakwaan Indian Food seemed reasonably priced considering the quality and flavors of the dishes. The portions were generous, offering good value for money. However, given the average service and ambiance, some patrons might expect a slightly more competitive pricing structure. In conclusion, Pakwaan Indian Food in Amsterdam offers a satisfying culinary journey with its flavorful and authentic Indian cuisine. While the food is undoubtedly the highlight, the service and ambiance could use some improvement to elevate the overall dining experience. With more attentive and personalized service, along with a touch of Indian ambiance, Pakwaan has the potential to become a truly exceptional Indian dining destination in Amsterdam. #DishtApproved Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–30 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
Just a quick try out on their second day for a "snack for two". We had the Vegetable and the Chicken Samosas, the Pani Puri and the Ghobi Pakoora. The food is non-greasy, not too heavy and soooooo, flavourful. We will return... ....and have done many, many times. Pakwaan is more nicely decorated now, busier and has a buzzy atmosphere. It really has gone from strength to strength. 12/02/2024 Went there again, Monday night and they were jam-packed, we had a 30 minute wait for a table at 1900hrs and they flipped a lot of tables whilst we were there. We were looking for trying new options on a Monday evening and a friend recommended this place. We found the meal fulfilling most of our expectations. We had paapdi chaat, which was well balanced in taste. Followed by chicken curry which was tasteful outside the taste of just onion and tomato curry. Naan were super soft. What made it a 5 star was their Rasmalai it was fresh and tasty, something I really miss in Netherlands Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
