For lunch today we stopped in at Olive Garden in Dubuque, Iowa. Breadstick was very salty today. However, if you order a side of Alfredo Sauce to dip them in it makes it better and good. We ordered the Never Ending soup and salad. I ordered their special for lunch shrimp scampi pasta with chicken gnocchi soup. They are very friendly and attentive. This Olive Garden was nice and what I would expect from this restaurant chain. I liked the quieter atmosphere (no TVs and old time standards playing). Service was excellent and attentive. My Creamy Mushroom pasta dish was tasty, but my husband didn't like the Shrimp Scampi. The endless salad was delicious. Wanted variety so got the Taste of Italy platter to carry out. The included salad was disappointing - mostly onion & cabbage. But the three entrees on the platter were excellent. We added tirimasu for dessert, which was the best I've ever had (and I'm a fanatic). Maybe they should have a taste of desserts platter, too. Our waiter was wonderful. Very sweet and hardworking. The Zuppa soup was delicious. The garlic bread sticks were great. They have Coke Zero!! Clean and quick service. The salad was a bummer. Barely any dressing.

My wife and I were able to make it out for date night. we were glad we did. The soup salad and bread sticks were delicious as always. my wife had the cheese ravioli. It was amazing. the waitress we had was wonderful. Period, she was busy, but she made sure that we were well taken care of with a smile on her face. Sometimes, the wait on is a little excessive to get a table, but it is always worth the food. I absolutely will not forget to mention the Terra masu. Highly recommend always on point. went to dinner with my wife last Saturday, Service and food were great. Think our servers name was Miranda, she was super busy and still did an amazing job. Just wish she wasn’t so overwhelmed, Maybe managers could spend a little less time chatting and more time relieving overwhelmed staff. The hostess looked totally bored and really turned off our appetite as we waited 20 minutes to get a table. Our server was okay. But we've lived in a rural part of the country for the last 7 years, so this was our first trip to olive garden in 7+ years. Food was not nearly as good as we remembered. Decent food, I mean you get what you get with Olive Garden. My main meal came out before the appetizer (I did say they could all come at once since my friends dish was just an appetizer). Stuffed mushrooms were sitting in too much liquid. Breadsticks were not soft. But all in all food tasted great.
