Terrible food, terrible service and terrible managers. They messed up our food order, didn’t offer anything. I had to ask for a discount. The cups are dirty, there were more than one floaty in my water cup. Ended up getting that replaced too. The manager never even came over to talk to us about everything. The service was TERRIBLE. She would rather be sitting with her coworkers instead of taking care of us, or even asking us how our experience was. She also changed a filling for my calzone without telling me. She just assumed I would be okay with it. And she told me it wasn’t on the menu, and then proceeded to tell her it was and that’s when she went to manager. The whole restaurant was filthy, crumbs on table, finger prints on all glass dividers. We will never be here again. I'm from outta state so this was my first time visiting Old Chicago here in Iowa. Taste a little different then the Old Chicago in Chicago, IL but still good. We had the meat me, a medium pepperoni, and the Mozerella sticks. We also had a great waitress, I think her name was Shelia but she was so sweet and comfortable so it was super nice to talk to her. She was on time with refills and very attentive. We were here for the concert at the Iowa state fair but it got canceled due to the weather so we were a bit bummed, but having such great service put a smile on our faces. The food was pretty good, but was very greasy. They brought out our appetizers pretty quickly, but my husband's entree didn't come out for about 20 minutes later. He got the fish and chips but the fish was about the same as frozen fish from the grocery store. The staff was nice, but we had to ask for plates, napkins, and to-go boxes. Our server only checked on us once. In my opinion it was not worth the price. I probably won't go back. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
We had excellent service on our visit and had excellent food. The pizzas we ordered were on the cauliflower crust and they were both thin and crunchy like a thin crust pizza. I was very pleased and enjoyed it a lot. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I ordered an Italian Melt. The bun was burnt on the inside. As for the meats, they must have been put under a broiler and were crispy like chips!!! There was no cheese on it. My side was coleslaw and extremely dry. It was like shredded cabbage with a few shredded carrots and no dressing. Extremely disappointed, but did not want my friends to have to wait for me to send it back and get a decent sandwich. We liked our waitress as she was kind, but she mixed up our bills. I would NOT recommend this place for lunch. I just wish I thought of taking a picture. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Quite literally the worst service I have ever received. It took 15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us and take drink orders after we had been seated. After we received our drinks the woman serving us, who I assume was the manager, disappeared without even asking if we were ready to place our food orders (we were). We sat and waited an additional 30 minutes before one of us had to get up an ask a host when someone would be by again for us to order food. 5-10 minutes after that the manager came back again to ask if our orders had been taken and when it was pointed out to her we had been waiting 40 minutes after receiving our drinks and nobody had been by all she could say was "It's pretty crazy here tonight." No apology or anything. I wouldn't consider no wait to be seated and empty tables in the restaurant to be "crazy", so I'd hate to see what service is like when they're actually swamped. When food finally came out about another 30 minutes later one meal had clearly been sitting under a warmer so long that the top was dried out and crusty, another was barely above room temp, and one seemed to have been microwaved as it was burning hot on the outside but cold in the middle. I totally understand being busy or short-staffed, but it is still possible to give good customer service and put out quality food under those circumstances. This was our first experience at this Old Chicago location and it will most definitely be our last as well. Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Lot of TVs with all kinds of sports going on all the time. I had a pizza (Chicago 7) one night and burger (crafted beer) the other. They were both great. Good selection of beers on top, both local and national. The bar area is great to have drinks, food and watch sports , the restaurant area is great for families with kids, still a lot of TVs around but little quieter for dinner etc. Tony at the bar always provide great service with a smile no matter how busy he is. You can't beat the fact that it is right next door to a great hotel (Best Western Plus) with awesome atrium/pool area and best rooms in the town for a night or for family gatherings. We visited last night for dinner with family. It wasn’t super busy but it was hard for our server (who did have many tables and running her tail off) to keep our drinks filled. Once the food came, my chicken strips were RAW through the middle. They ended up taking those off our order and a pizza I ordered. The pizza took another 30 minutes ish. I wish it could have been better. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Went with friends to have a couple drinks and dinner. Got seated fairly quickly, but 30 minutes later we were still waiting for even our drink order to be taken, FINALLY a waitress (Mary) stopped by and asked if we had been taken care of. We said no and she apologized, said we were not in her section but she hated to see us wait so took our drink order 10 minutes later we had drinks but that was the end of contact with any of the staff. The restaurant was not by any means busy, We sat for another half an hour and finally had had enough, we left enough to cover the drinks and a small tip for Mary on the table and just got up and walked out. 10/10 will not be going back and will definitely not be recommending to anyone. First and last time visiting for sure. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $1–10 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The only reason for the 1 star is for the Caesar salad, which was pretty good. We ordered a hand tossed and pan pizza. The pan had zero sauce, and the hand tossed had a very small amount. Who eats pizza with no sauce?? Chicken topping was great, however the mushrooms tasted funny. We asked for a side of sauce...Waitress brings a small container of COLD sauce. Food was already slightly warm, not hot, coming out of kitchen. Service was very slow for having not many many customers in the restaurant. We were too tired from traveling to bother any further. Thankfully, being from out of town, we would never go back or recommend. Waste of $40 bucks. I've been to a few Old Chicago restaurants...Never had food this bad from the others. Very disappointed!
