Come to this amazing Greek restaurant with me!! Their food is amazing, especially their signature Greek desserts.
Highlights of the menu:
1. Beef-teki with fries
2. Gyro salad
3. Bowl beef/lamb skewer with rice - topped with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, cucumber & spicy yogurt
4. Green frozen yogurt with baklava - Greek phyllo, walnuts & honey syrup
5. Loukoumades - traditional Greek beignets, nuts & housemade syrup

After waiting for a table at Nick’s on 2nd for over an hour for a birthday dinner, we decided to get a snack at Nick The Greek first, and they single-handedly made our evening. We ordered Nick’s Fries with chicken gyro (pictured) to share, and it was delicious! The meat was tender and well-seasoned, while the fries were crispy and fresh. The manager was also nice enough to give us a free sample of their frozen yogurt since it was our first time there! We had such a great experience here that we decided to forego our plans with Nick’s on 2nd (who never called us back about our table, anyway) and get some pita wraps to go. Those were of the same high quality as the loaded fries, and were equally delicious! We will absolutely come back here when we’re craving Mediterranean food again!

Gyro is a tad on the salty side but tasty nonetheless!
Service however needs improvement
It took 10 minutes for the food to come out - I was patronizingly informed this is within the "normal" time frame. Seems a bit long for self proclaimed Street Food, but more importantly they should mention this when you order. I'd rather pay the 10% difference at the nearby sit-down Greek restaurant that brings food out within the same timeframe but doesn't come with this attitude

The bread was nice and fluffy. The falafels were dry like a Popeye’s biscuit. The French fries tasted like they had already been fried and reheated. The workers were nice and friendly so my 3 stars has nothing to do with the service, only the quality of the food. It was basically Greek fast food and you can only expect so much from fast food.

Been coming here since they opened and have noticed the staff becoming less generous in their portion sizes the last few times I visited. Tonight I ordered two of their frozen yogurts, one with baklava and honey for my mom and another for myself without the baklava and honey. When the older man who works there handed them to me I noticed that the plain yogurt had significantly less than the one with baklava so I asked him to please top it off. He was resistant, stating that they were “packed down” but went on to do it anyway. He proceeded to fill the cup up really full, decided it was too full I guess, then stored it down in the freezer, I imagine for him and the rest of the staff to enjoy later. He filled up a new cup for me that had EVEN LESS yogurt than the first one. Unbelievable, never experienced such thoughtless, spiteful customer service. If the manager reads this, please retrain your staff in customer satisfaction. It’s not too difficult to pull a handle down in one quick motion and make a customer happy.

Went here for the first time today. I believe the guy who took our order was Nick the owner. His customer service was amazing and he would smile every time he served someone. It was really cute to watch because now-a-days you don’t really see owners actually in their stores. We ordered a Greek salad and pita and it was really good. The food was very fresh and it was quick. Great spot for lunch or quick bite. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest bathroom I’ve ever seen, but it was fine because the rest of the restaurant is superrrr clean. Will def come back!

Went to the grand opening of Nick the Greek Long Beach-perfect location! WOW this place is awesome 20/10!!!
Authentic Greek & med food, service was fast and super nice, exactly what our neighborhood needed. I’ll be here for late night gyros after a Saturday night out.
My wife and kids loved the Greek fro-yo topped with baklava & the loukoumades were insane (like mini hot honey donuts) best I’ve ever had! Can’t wait for lunch here next week, great spot & brand new.

Sad to see the pietris bakery go, but Nick the Greek is a good replacement. Your typical Greek fare like gyro sandwich, plates, and salads are very well priced, especially in the location on 2nd Street.
The gyro salad was very generous on the protein, and it was well flavored. Only suggestion is that the 🥗 underneath was quite overdressed. Next time, will definitely ask for dressing in the side.
We saw they have loukamades on the menu, will definitely give them a try next time.

I totally Love 💜💙💜 this place, not only because I'm a true Roman (actual Italiano) obviously Greco-Roman connection, but basically the Gyro, Baklava (pie) and Greek Yogurt are to hike up Mount Olympus for, and visit Athena Goddess of Wisdom 💎🤙🤙🤙😎

My boyfriend and I have been driving past this place for weeks and we finally got the chance to stop in - it was fantastic! They had so many options (I’m definitely going back to try the soup), everyone was super friendly and accommodating, and the food was delicious! We honestly tried a little bit of everything and loved it all, the seasoning on the gyros was phenomenal and we both loved the Greek yogurt! The space was open yet inviting and we’re definitely going back! My boyfriend says “I wish we lived within walking distance of Nick the Greek, I’d go every day”
