Not horrible but not amazing. I had high hopes for a good place to get an Acai bowl. The Acai is blended and not a sorbet and doesn't have great flavor pretty bland and water down tasting compared to other chain Acai bowl places. Too expensive for what is offered. A good try though.
2023 update- I appreciate the response from The Establishment and have since been back numerous times and have only had good experiences. I'd like to thank the store for reaching out to me and trying to make things right.
Mixed feelings. I've only had good experiences however the most recent experience, I brought my nephew there and he didn't know what to order. This was his first time there and so without explanation the staff asked if he wanted Agave and he said no not knowing that was the flavoring, then was extremely dissatisfied with the smoothie. I asked if they added Agave to my drink and they said no. I asked if they could add it and the girl behind the counter said in a somewhat strenuous tone that she could remake it if I want her to and based on that reaction I said no that's okay. My nephew was so bothered about the drink that I brought the full drink back less than 20 minutes later asking for a solution, compromise, or exchange. The young man, employee behind the counter told me they have a strict policy against any of this stuff, however somewhat flippantly offered to personally take money out of his own wallet to buy me a new drink. Of course I said no. With no solution I threw the drink in a trash in the store. Mixed feelings about coming back after that. I'm kind of frustrated because four or five reviews down the person responding from the store says that if you're not satisfied they'll remake the item given the price. I don't understand why I wasn't offered the same deal when I asked.
Delicious! My daughter and I love Nekter! The staff was so kind and the establishment was clean and welcoming! We will continue to support Nekter Dubuque!

The balance points are it's clean, open, inviting, and very nice wait staff...and the outdoor patio bumped this from a 3 star to a 4!
Met Carmel(GM) today and the service was fantastic. Store was clean, staff was great and products were fresh and tasty. Great value for a healthy option. Will definitely be back!

I just tried the Acai Superfood Bowl and wow it was amazing! I love that I can eat kale and spinach and not even know that I am eating it! Definitely will be going back soon!
