Took an hour for them to serve the starter and it was freaking cold! I was fine with waiting but at least give me a warm meal. My main dish was also cold so the cook probably finished it early but took so long for the waiters to serve it and it wasn’t even full packed. Didn’t have the energy to complain because I was dying from starvation! 😂 Anyway, the food was okay and I loved the dessert so there’s that. 22nd april 2023 | For the price i honestly don't know if the food was worth it. The dumplings were good and so was the sushi, but I came for the ramen and was very disappointed by it. As someone mentioned previously, the broth didn't have much of a character to it. No flavour Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person kr 300–400 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The service was good super attentive and , the problem was the food. When you tell someone sticky wings I want sticky and cover in sauce. The sauce tasted like it came from a bottle and there wasn’t enough. I also order the Ramen soup, it was very sad, no flavor in the broth, 3 little pieces of meant and the noodles were not cooked properly I asked for a side of extra chilli and that’s what saved it. Not with the high price. Meal type Lunch Price per person kr 500–600 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Very good food here. Not too bad pricing either, and the staff was nice. Can recommend going here! Update of review: ate here again 2 years later. Still great! Also wanted to add that they were super nice about adapting their menu to my gluten allergy, greatly appreciated!
Delicious asian food. In the photo I have a steak and beef sushi. Great service! Received a personally made mocktail. The atmosphere could use some more light and decorations with asian motifs. Also please add some nice music (maybe asian symphonic band s?). The desserts - creme brulee and trifle were boring unfortunately. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2

We came here on a Sat for lunch and restaurant wasn’t too crowded. We’d wanted to try other dishes but was told that only Lunch menu is available (only one chef). I’m glad I chose the spicy miso ramen, I love the soup, the generous amount of pork and bamboo shoots. Noodles is cooked just nice. Waitress is helpful and nice as well:) Would recommend for Asian food. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch
Nice restaurant, conveniently located in Kristiansand. All dishes tasted good, duck and chicken little dry. Good services and pleasant atmosphere.
I had the vegetarian curry 🌶️😋 It was the best I had outside of Asia. Excellent!! Very worth to try! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person kr 200–300 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

When they opened it was a really good asian restaurant, since then it's fallen quite far down in quality. I ordered the ramen which i didn't receive, and once they had made it 10min after my group had already eaten i found it har little to no flavour. waiter's were also very carefree and service was lacking. If you want Japanese style ramen I'd recommend Kobu instead, seeing as Monsoon has not goten better since opening

Friendly, attentive service in English or Norwegian. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the sound of the fountain and people watching. The salmon flambe sushi roll was excellent. Fresh, well wrapped and even came with seaweed salad (love!) Red Curry was bursting with flavor and vegetables but I wish it was spicier. I added Sriracha which helped but not the same as chili paste etc. My +1 ordered crazy duck which was very good but a bit more breading than he wanted so he pulled lots off. The pancakes that accompany it are like thin rice paper to make little spring roll wraps. Very fun! Monsoon mule tasted delicious (Mostly bc of my favorite fever tree ginger beer) but it was very light on alcohol. I'm not even sure there was a full shot. All in all very nice experience. We'll be back to try more! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person kr 500–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
