The food was delicious in my opinion, even after showing up around 23:00. However if it's a Friday night and it's busy expect to wait about 45 minutes to an hour for a seat for two. It's nice that they have a bar here so you can order drinks while you eat. Their menu is good they have quite a bit of options. All in all a good sushi spot to go to when you're in the area. The sushi presented a deficiency in flavor, and the overall dining experience was marred by subpar service. Throughout the evening, essential elements such as napkins and soy sauce were conspicuously absent (we were sharing one set of napkins and by the time the soy sauce made it to the table we were almost done) contributing to a notable lack of attention to detail. The staff's disregard for our needs persisted for the entirety of our time at the establishment. It is my observation that this particular venue may cater more to individuals inclined towards excessive alcohol consumption, potentially overshadowing an appreciation for nuanced flavor profiles in culinary offerings. Best Sushi bar I have ever been to. I've tried other places, but Moira never disappoints ever. Happy hour is the best value, but because of the amazing food I'll go anytime and pay full price! Great food and service, but EXPENSIVE if you aren’t ordering from the happy hour menu. Two peoples worth of food and drinks was well over $100. We tried some of their flavored sake, but after a whole bottle and a cocktail, I still felt sober. We enjoyed the food except for the edamame dumplings, which had so much salt it was inedible by our whole group. Our server was lovely and helpful. We will definitely come back for happy hour. The environment & music is nice. The food... a little plain & not to flavorful. We've had better sushi & chicken fried rice at other restaurants. We were expecting amazing food & left underwhelmed. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

If you want a late night spot that does not disappoint, this is your spot. Never had a bad experience ever. Sit at the bar and be treated right. We have had the same guy three times. Gets better each time. We order something new each time but always have the bar tender pick our drinks and enjoy the night away! We go out often and have to say this is the place no matter how tired or stressed or excited you are. The food, drinks and service are on point! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Love that it has late night happy hours and coming to our favorite local spot for sushi. Stopped in on a calm Saturday night food was great, w/warm sake & cold beer. FOH Service was a huge miss this time. Hostess had her hands in her pockets the entire time-it was so odd. Staff was hanging out in the bar it was more like a service station for them. We accidentally spilled a drink and they just ignored it and walked over it. We really like this place but I can get bad service and dirty bars in Scottsdale or across the street. Hoping to have a better experience next time. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
Atmosphere was ok, cool place Food was ok but don’t match the reviews. Food Service was fast. Table Service was horrible. Waitress was gossiping, sitting down, not paying attention to her station. We had to ask for everything including silverware. Plates were dirty. Nice and friendly but just not cut out for the service industry. They had two different types of genres playing at the same time (one in the kitchen & one at the bar). Happy hour has a variety of options to choose from. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
Make sure to call ahead and reserve a table..the wait was longer then 15mins but worth it.. the food was amazing..I loved the tiger and the one with the coconut 🍤..🤤🤤♥️..atmosphere was fun and please add maybe 2 more heaters outside and it's perfect..I will definitely retrn. The fish is extremely fresh and the sushi is made with ❤️. Every maki we had was perfectly balanced, fresh, and a delicious bite. This place is really welcoming and in a cool area of Phoenix, but the music is super loud so if you’re coming here to have a deep conversation you won’t be able to hear each order.
