Seeing a big poster of the great Vicente Fernandez lurking over me, I was excited. The service spot on, but I'm sorry the food not! Disappointed in the menu for sure. Carnitas dry and over cooked. No queso, salsa ok, was disappointed they didn't have any hatch green chili, in Colorado, what! Vicente is disappointed and bellows his heartbroken 💔 melody about this restaurant. Again, service great considering there were only 3 people who were working, including the cook, who looked 12. We came here around 430 on a Friday. We were the only table sat, everyone else at the bar. Our waitress was Macce. I have to say she was a little aloof. She only checked once if we needed anything. Drinks were empty. She brought our check while we were half way through our meal. While she was still at our table I asked for refills to go. She just walked away. My husband's steak for his Carne Americana was disgusting. The beef for the tacos was decent but the proportions were on the smaller side for the price. Our Mexican potatoes were still crunchy so a tad under cooked. The pictures and reviews looked better than it actually was.

This restaurant is my 11year old boys’ favorite spot in town. They both say “can we PLEASE go to the best restaurant in town?” It is truly family owned and operated and the entire family works incredibly hard to make the food amazing and experience warm! Food quantities are generous, the whole beans spectacular, and the mexican potatoes delicious. Pros: Best salsa I have ever had! Fish tacos were extremely tasty. Service was perfect. Cons: Uninteresting and colorless presentation, no place mat, no toppings (i.e., dab of sour cream, pico, chives, cilantro sprig, sprinkle of cheese were all absent); poured appetizer-salsa onto tacos (no spoon) to brighten up appearance. Beans were not warm. Dried bits stuck on the wall. Big stain on paper menu. Knife smeared. These are all easy fixes. My wife, two kids and my self were visiting Durango for the weekend for the polar express train ride. So, while we waited for our time to be on the train. We were trying to find something not to expensive and good to eat. So, I look up restaurants and check the list and saw a whole bunch of restaurants around the Train Depot. I checked reviews and prices and I saw a bunch of good reviews for this restaurant, prices are with in a family budget. Yes, I saw some not so good reviews but what business does not have not so good reviews. All I see are a bunch of Karen's, not everyone is perfect like they are. Anyways we really enjoyed our food filled and satified our stomachs the waitress and other staff were professional. We ordered the enchilada/ tostata plate, the burrito w/ beans and rice, the tilapia fish tacos w/ beans & rice and chicken nuggets w/ fries. Wow! Having work done in the kitchen today so we used DoorDash for delivery. My Mi Ranchito burrito was SO delicious! Hubs had the chimichanga and he loved it. Can’t wait to eat in house and try the chips and salsa. Service Delivery Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

If you get a chance to visit the lovely Durango, CO you must stop by Mi Ranchito!! We stopped by after taking the train ride and it hit the right spot. It is right across the street from the train. Their salsas are perfectly made and tasteful! We had mi ranchito burrito, tacos (chorizo, asada, and carnitas), and a cantarito. Everything was delicious!! This beautiful family owned and operated restaurant has locals coming for the friendly environment and the service any restaurant should modeled after. I love the salsa they serve with chips because it has the perfect bite to it. I feel like this local is very conveniently located for packing. There are several spots and even after hour locals open for parking unlike many local down main your have to typically walk several block for your dining. We stopped at Mi Rancho for dinner. A few people eating. I ordered cheese enchiladas with ice tea to drink. The waitress Grace was very polite, nice +sociable .
