Spectacular! I wish I could give more than stars! We visited on Sunday around 11:30. It was packed, and we waited about 10 minutes for a table for 4 adults, not bad!
We chatted with the hostess about the business, and it turns out it was Ernie, AKA Miss Matt! She and all the staff were so gracious.
We had a fabulous visit and the food . . . OMG! I have a special love for breakfast foods, and this place met and exceeded my expectations!

Our absolute favorite breakfast spot! They ONLY cook with butter olive oil! No industrial seed oils!! Coffee is delicious, really nice menu, big portions and super friendly staff. Healthy eating at it's finest. Thank you Matt's!

This was another restaurant that I was excited to try since it is near my home and I saw a lot of good things online at other locations in the valley. Unfortunately, this is another Epicenter disappointment.
We got their early to avoid crowds and waiting. The greeting into the restaurant felt unwelcoming and the initial waiter had little energy and did not seem happy at the very slightest. We were not offered water or assisted in anyway on what good things we should order on the menu. There was a waitress that took over for him shortly after who had a lot more enthusiasm which I can certainly give her a 5/5.
Atmosphere was nice until a fire alarm went off in the building and remained in for maybe 15 min until turning off. It was loud as hell, but it appeared to be a false alarm.
My food finally came out and there was a hair embedded in my butter on top of my griddle cakes. They took it back and made a new one. It took a while to get them remade while I had nibble on my spouses food. When the pancakes came out, they weren’t as great as I was anticipating, but they were edible. The bacon that my spouse had wasn’t as great as I was anticipating either. It tasted cold and burnt and peppery.
If I was a manager I would have given a discount or comped the griddle cakes for us having hair in our food and being there during a loud false building alarm. Didn’t get a thank you for stopping by at the end or anything. The only thing good about this place that I found was: supposedly they use fresh ingredients for their food, the waitress who filled in for a not so great waiter, the music (when it was heard when an alarm wasn’t going off), and the coffee. The coffee was good and came in a nice cup . That’s about it. I wouldn’t come here again if that is the quality of service and food.

The place was amazing. Everything was good. The waiter was very friendly, we came from California to visit a friend and we were looking for a breakfast spot and found this, MBB has to be a great breakfast joint since they use natural ingredients like real butter and extra virgen olive oil you real don't find places like this one that use home based ingredients so if you ever in mesa AZ check these guys out they are very good

Griddle Cakes
Matt's, located in the new Agritopia plaza, is a good breakfast spot. With indoor and outdoor seating, the location is modern and airy. The staff does a great job greeting customers and asking if it's your first time. They have daily specials and a small menu to choose from. The food was good and relatively quick to arrive. For a Saturday at 11:00 AM, we walked in and were seated immediately.

Went here for the first time with my family. It is a family-owned restaurant and from the second you walk in you immediately get that pleasant feeling of home. They greeted us right away and let us sit wherever we wanted. It was a true team effort where everyone was working together and the wait was not long at all! So not only did we receive amazing and speedy service but the food was also phenomenal as well! We definitely will be back!

Blueberry Pancakes
We stopped by on a Sunday morning. The restaurant was busy, but we did not have to wait long for a table. Our food and coffee were great, but the service was fantastic! Every person who worked there did not stop moving, filling coffee, clearing plates, and making sure all customers had what they needed. Even though there was lots of movement, they did not seemed frazzled or overworked; they were all very pleasant, friendly, and attentive. We did not feel rushed in any way. I highly recommend Matt’s Big Breakfast!

This is the best breakfast in the east valley and it isn’t even close. Every item on their menu is good, you can’t go wrong, and they have a rotating special every day. Whoever is rating this place poorly must be trying to save it for themselves.

Not Impressed. That pretty well sums it up for this place. SO noisy - we had to yell across the table to be heard. Sounds were bouncing off the walls. Loud music just added to the problem. No privacy or dividers between tables. Hardly any staff (and they looked tired at that). I went with a small group @ 11. No soda fountain (just bottled soda). Pancakes were heavy & sweet. Hash browns were under cooked and greasy. Two guests at our table never got their side of toast. We couldn't even flag someone down. I had to go to the counter to tell them the problem. Nobody checked back with our group at all during our meal. So sad, on account I was really looking forward to a pleasant brunch with friends at a new place.
