I need to say that the people here are absolutely wonderful and smile and laugh every day. We stay at the cliffs where Mario’s happens to be housed. They are such a joy. The food is magnificent! I would highly recommend this place for any occasion, whether it’s small or large. Down to earth And ready to please this restaurant is our favorite! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The restaurant is located in side a beautiful resort. Parking was not an issue and secured by gate after hours. Our meal was superb and plated beautifully, the appetizer sampler was perfect for 3 to 4 people. The scallops were delicious and the service was excellent. Have been going to Mario’s for many years and the meal never disappoints. Everything was delicious and the staff was extremely kind and accommodating. The ambiance was beautiful and the meal was a very special experience. Highly recommend you go for an enjoyable occasion in St. Martin!

Quality of the food is comparable to the restaurants in Grand Case, but is slightly more expensive. However, the restaurant feels a little 'out of place'. As if it were an afterthought, once the resort was finished. Cocktails not so great (limes in Old Fashioned?). Very good parking! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Devine cuisine. Have traveled from Australia to Greece, St. Petersburg to Spain, Italy and France. Best ever escargot. Amazing dinner..
Highly recommend Mario's. We dined here 3 times while vacationing. The food is fantastic. I tried the mahi/mahi, the salmon special, and the shrimp/chorizio. All were amazing. (honestly I could dine here every night). Reservations are a must. Atmosphere is so warm and breezy. Service is top notch. Can't wait to go back. This was definitely not what we expected! We had to walk through some kind of hotel or apartment complex, which was hard to find with very little street signage for the restaurant (none) and we couldn’t really figure out if we were allowed to park there or not at first (needs more signage! We had to sneak in behind another car entering the gate). There were shades down so we didn’t get the “cliffs” view we expected but it was still a lovely night. The duck was cooked to absolute perfection and was a HUGE portion (could easily be split) with an incredible sauce that reminded me of a French onion soup that took days to make. The mash was quite garlic-y for me, but good. My favorite thing was the burrata with eggplant prosciutto and hummus appetizer- flawless and also a large portion, but I was almost full after just that course! If I had known how large these portions were I’d have visited when I had a kitchen to reheat leftovers at home the next day! My boyfriend got the gnocchi, which was good and also a super large portion, albeit the gnocchi being a bit undercooked, and we both felt super full (and a bit bloated) after! If you’re looking for a super filling meal with big (Texas size) portions for the price of the small portions at other restaurants, but still from a pro chef, this is your place! The chef sat at the entry and greeted us on our way in and when we exited. Highlight was that expertly cooked duck and the appetizer. Don't regret it but both felt a bit bloated in comparison to the other meals we had on the island. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
Ordered the surf and turf for 48$, got 2 shrimps with 2 slim slices of chorizo, 7 one inch by two inch slivers of NY strip covered in a tasteless beef stew gravy, unseasoned steamed vegetables, and accompanied by a brick of mashed potatoes with soggy French onion topping… Paid for fine dining and got below hole in the wall quality. The food is just ok. Nothing special. We had rubbery escargot, lamb special was tasteless, pasta primavera underseasoned, burrata tasteless. Crudo appetizer was very good. Not worth the money and getting there at night on those dark roads is dicey. Very pretentious too Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
The food is good the service is kind of stuck up. One waitress gave us a face when we didn’t order as much as she expected. Food came out prompt, food tasted flavorful, and the ambiance was beautiful. You may feel the true French attitude though.
