This place was delicious. Everything there was hot and ready. The stew pork and rice were especially good and the morir soñando lived up to its name. My wife loved the bananas on the side. Would recommend this place to anyone but I wish the food was labeled so you knew exactly what tastes so good. Also, beware the hot spoons as you serve yourself! First time here and we loved it! The restaurant is very clean and the staff were all so friendly and attentive. The prices are good, and the portions are huge. We got the chicken breast, Puerto Rican Tripleta, and the La Dominican York. All were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back! Authentic Dominican, Cuban, and Puerto Rican food. The food here is fresh and delicious. Michael and his staff are really friendly. If you do not see something in the menu, ask and they may even go ahead and prepare it for you. This place was AMAZING. The cuban sandwich was absolutely the best I have ever had. We also got the Ropa Vieja which is basically roast meat and rice and beans but the flavor was immaculate and the texture was spot on. My only issue was our server spoke SO quietly so we had no clue what she was saying, and we waited quite some time to get our food. Absolutely delightful experience. The selection is smaller than other buffets I've been to, but every dish is a hit. I had more trouble fitting everything I wanted on my plate than I have at buffets 3-4 times the size, and I wasn't disappointed by a single dish. The food was authentic, hearty Dominican Republic cuisine, and it was all incredible. Service was quick, easy, and friendly. The atmosphere was also very good, with a very tidy appearance and light, cultural decor. A few miscellaneous things I appreciated to add: the plates and bowls were along the whole buffet, under the food, making access super easy, and the beverages (just ice water for our group, but I saw others with more adventurous options) were served in large mason jars. Finally, I'll mention that if you're big on supporting small businesses or immigrant businesses, this place is a great option, as the entire (currently very small) staff are immigrants, and the owner is the operator. It is rare to go somewhere where everything is perfect, especially when it’s a new restaurant but Mambo did it! Absolutely perfect! The service, food, ambience, presentation were all outstanding. I’ve dined at some great Caribbean restaurants in NY, South Florida and in the islands and the flavor, freshness, variety were exceptional. I also love seeing a young couple taking the risk to open their own place and living the American dream! I will definitely be eating there often. We sampled the empanadas, ropa vieja, mofongo, flan and others and everything was delicious. Go and enjoy! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Recommended dishes Dominican Flan
Food was ok. My meat was over salted in the Cuban sandwich. Shrimp mofongo was pretty good but lacked flavor. Drinks were good. The prices are high enough that I don’t see myself eating here often. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Okay, this place is RICO!! I'm a foodie, I lived in Puerto Rico, lived with Dominicans, and I can honestly say this food is to die for. We had the ropa vieja and tripleta and the meat was savory, tender and perfect. Price is good for sizing and quality, and the service was fab. The music playing made me feel like I was back en mi Isla. Go. Experience the islands, as a sampling. Then book a flight to the Caribbean. Oh my gosh. It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten this well. I had high expectations to begin with and yet this place surpassed them! We ordered the tripleta sandwich, ropa vieja, flan, and morir soñando and passion fruit juice. I have never had better Caribbean food, and that is REALLY saying a lot considering my in-laws are from there and I’ve visited Puerto Rico many times. Seriously, guys, this is better Caribbean food than what you can find on the island and it’s RIGHT HERE IN PROVO!!! Are we lucky or what? Just a note, since they’re currently just barely open and haven’t even had their grand opening yet, the service is a little slow, but it’s SO worth the wait. I'm so glad they moved into this spot. The dining area looks so great now! We had a wonderful evening with fantastic food. The two people working were so kind and helpful. The passion fruit drink was so great and a must try with your meal. I can't recommend this place enough. This will be our new special occasion meal spot.
