Impeccable service that will make Americans Google "should I tip as much as I want to?". A homemade tapenade that is absolutely delicious. Chill atmosphere, low lighting and good music set the backdrop for a great meeting space. I come here every time I'm in the Hague: repeatedly. Also I was raised in schools run on military meal schedules - 15 minutes to eat was a norm. I spend almost an hour here MYSELF. The atmosphere is fantastic. Fast service, nice food, friendly staff. We tried the daily special pumpkin gnocchi and bufalla pizza. Not the best Italian food I had in the Hague but tasty pasta!
Best Italian restaurant in the Hague. You must try the tiramusu after. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My boyfriend and I came here for a late lunch and it was nothing short of incredible. Wonderful service and just fantastic food. Service Dine in Price per person €50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We were very excited to try this place but unfortunately had a very bad food experience here, the seafood pasta and carbonara were both extremely salty (and we are people that love salt). The seafood in the pasta did not taste fresh, octopus rubbery and overall lacked flavor. Seafood pasta is my go to order, and this one was the worst I had. Unfortunately the restaurant did not do anything to make up for it, even when noticing my full plate and me letting them know. However, service generally was good, very friendly. I guess regarding food, we were just unlucky as others in the restaurant seemed to have enjoyed their meal. Meal type Dinner Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
We spent a long weekend in Den Haag and didn't plan on eating Italian food. Twice! We stumbled upon Made in Sud while looking for a place to eat dinner. We were warmly welcomed by Carmine, the owner, who although we didn't had reservation on a Friday night, managed to sit us within a few minutes. We decided to go with the 4 course meal (€37.50pp) which includes an antipasti platter, half a portion of pasta, a main dish and a desert. We also ordered a bottle of the house wine (€21) and a bottle of sparkling water (€6.25). And then the party started. Carmine, who was also our waiter for the evening, served a bread basket with tapenade. Then he poured the wine, which was excellent and explained its origins. After that we got a large platter with 5 kinds of antipasti. It had 2 kinds of cured meats, Caprese, fish carpaccio and octopus slices. The antipasti was very tasty and refreshing. For the pasta we ordered the Spaghetti alla Carbonara which was very good and not too salty. For our main courses my partner ordered the Veal with mushrooms and I ordered the Seabass fillet. The veal was tender and the mushroom sauce was very rich and tasty. My Seabass fillet arrived wrapped in foil, which Carmine carefully opened, poured the orange and lemon sauces inside, closed the foil and told me to wain another minute before I open it. After a minute, when I opened it, I found the fillet topped with fennel, garlic, orange slices and thyme. That fish was a really good and delicate. For desert, we ordered a coffee panna cotta and a tiramisu. The panna cotta was excellent but the highlight was the tiramisu. Carmine explained that he does not put alcohol/coffee in the tiramisu until he serves it to the table. So we got a glass with the mascarpone and ladyfingers on which Carmine poured a mixture of coffee and Sambuca. After a few seconds, when the ladyfingers absorbed the liquids, he sprinkled cocoa powder on top (or maybe it was dark chocolate powder?). Anyway, both deserts were really good. We really enjoyed our dinner and decided to return on our next visit, but 2 days later, after a reservation for another restaurant didn't work out, we found ourselves at Made in Sud again. This time we decided to try the pizza. My partner ordered the Spicy Salami pizza (€11.75) and I ordered the 4 seasons pizza (€14). We couldn't help ourselves and ordered a bottle of the house wine and of course 2 tiramisus for desert. The pizzas were very good. I can highly recommend this restaurant! It is full with soul and good food. I wish we could visit it more often.
This is the perfect place for a date: the food is authentic, the atmosphere is pleasant and our host was incredibly kind. We felt very welcome and will certainly come back soon. P.S. Visit this place if you want to find out why Made in Sud is the only restaurant that makes tiramisu the proper way! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Salvatore and the other waiter who attended us were fantastic and their serving skills are above every other restaurante we've visited in The Netherlands, but they refused to serve us tap water. I respect their principle of "only providing the best", but forcing you to pay 6.50€ for water when a pizza costs 14€ isn't reasonable, and their refusal to serve tap water transformed what would have been a great dinning experience into an average one. We ordered pizza and the portions and tastes were good. The atmosphere that decoration and service provides is also top notch. What an incredible find! Phenomenal flavours , and charming, fun and attentive service - what more do you need really? After a very long day of walking, my girlfriend and I happened upon this restaurant. We were quickly and warmly greeted by the Italien staff - who were extremely attentive and quick with a joke. We had pizza , pasta and bruscetta - you could taste the freshness if the ingredients , and simply yum! Definitely worth stopping by for a nice, relaxed meal Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Really nice atmosphere and fast/friendly service. However, we were not impressed by the food. The starters were fine, but both mains (salmon + salmon pasta) were mediocre. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
