Good indoor space and expansive waterside deck if the weather permits. The menu is limited but the dishes are done very well. Particularly enjoyed the thick cut Tuna Steak! I love your steaks, eating them is pure pleasure every time. this time I was here with three friends, each of us ordered a different degree of doneness of the steak, and this is the only drawback of this visit, the raw steak was very raw, and the well-done steak had a raw center. I don't mind it, but one of my friends complained, luckily the delicious sauce balanced it out. The professional service deserves praise. Mixed Experiences at Loetje Amsterdam: I recently had the opportunity to dine at Loetje in Amsterdam, and my experiences were quite mixed. Let’s start with the positives: The food was absolutely outstanding. I ordered a steak that was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor. The side dishes were also delicious and complemented the main course beautifully. It is clear that a lot of attention is paid to the quality of the ingredients and the preparation of the food. Unfortunately, the positive dining experience was somewhat marred by the service. The staff was not very friendly and seemed rather disinterested in the guests. There was a lack of attention and warmth that one would expect in a restaurant of this price range. This unfortunately left a bad taste in my mouth and affected the overall impression. In summary, Loetje in Amsterdam is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for outstanding food. However, one should not have too high expectations when it comes to the service. The steak here was tender and flavorful and different from American steaks but was still really good. The cake was also great! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good but different steak. Staff and atmosphere of this place are also really great and the staff are very friendly! This Loetje is in front of the main train station. Steps to go down to the entrance (or they have an elevator). We walked in on a Sat evening at 5pm with no reservation and luckily got a table in the back. Should have made a reservation and maybe we can sit closer to the windows (amazing views). Our server was very friendly and professional. We ordered 2 teas, one chamomile and one ginger (fresh slices of ginger with honey). She gave us ample time to look through the menu. We ordered 2 tenderloin with garlic. 2 side orders of mushrooms and one garden salad (it's big enough to share). The entree also came with white bread. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much and when they came with our entree, I kind of thinking why white bread. Well, the steak was perfectly done (med rare) could be more tender but really good with the garlic sauce. The bread (omg) was so good. The crust was crispy and the bread part was like cotton candy. And we used them to soak up all the garlic sauce. Very delicious and we added the mushroom to the sauce to give it a smoky touch. Everything blended perfectly together. We actually ate the salad last which was a nice cleansing feel. We didn't order dessert because we were so full...maybe next time. Chef’s kiss 👨‍🍳 is what the whole experience can be described as. The best one would definitely be the beef steak. I tried the sambal one just to try something new and it did not disappoint. It was a slightly salty but you just have to control the amount of sauce you put. The servers were friendly and accommodating. Definitely something worth going back to. We were recommended to this restaurant by a local. We certainly were not disappointed. We ordered the bitterballen which was really tasty and really hot/ fresh. We also shared the burratta and bread. Our main meals which were salads were absolutely massive and the amount of meat was excellent. The next night we returned for some wine and burger and fries (massive portion of fries) and another salad. The server on the second night was so fast and efficient. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

The food quality was good, but the amount food was really less than what you expected. The service was slow, we waited for 20-30 mins to get our food. The price I can say was a little bit expensive. Food was great. The chicken salad is a huge portion and the beef steak was perfectly medium with sambal sauce. The view out the window will want you to sit for long time to enjoy passing trains and boat. Don’t miss this restaurant if you even in Amsterdam Centraal Station. Highly recommended.
