We went for lunch on a winter weekend- no wait! The warm enclosed patio was so nice and watching the trains while we ate was entertaining. Great food, good service, yummy drinks! First timer at lunch today. Absolutely amazing. The spicy marg was top notch. The poke nachos were on point. And, I was blown away with the Cobb salad (added grilled chicken). Everything was incredibly fresh, and delicious. And the service… super friendly and very fast. Will most definitely be back! We arrived here on a very foggy day after a long Drive on Blue Ridge Pkw the food was amazing and the staff very friendly. This was truly a Gem of a location to grab some tasty local food. The portions were very good in size. We had the Chicken Alfredo and Cuban sandwich. The Chicken Alfredo was spot on, Chicken tasted very fresh and flavorful, the pasta was well cooked and seasoned. The Cuban Sandwich was also very tasty, the pork was very flavorful with a nice portion of fresh cooked fries. Thanks to Karen for taking care of us. Nice place with pleasant and attentive service. There is an option of patio (enclosed/heated for the winter) or indoor. We had the hushpuppies, burger and the chicken & shrimp pasta and all three were very good. Stop by and check them out if you are in the area. Parking is also plentiful in the area. We were excited to try this new restaurant on the lower level in Spruce Pine. We arrived in the late afternoon when the sun was still bright, so we asked for an inside table. The grill inside was going strong, so there was a good bit of smoke in the room. We ordered drinks, and when they arrived, we asked the waitress if we could move outside. She was very gracious, explaining that they were on the third fan, trying to get the exhaust working properly. We moved outside to a nice shaded table and our food arrived soon after. I had the flatbread pizza, one of the specials that night, which was delicious. My wife had the trout sandwich which was also very good. She eats trout often, so if she says it is good, it is! They also have a good selection of beer and wine. My wife tried the cherry cider. Unusual and very tasty. The staff went out of their way to make our visit a good one, and we’ll be back soon. Stopped in for a quick bite with a friend and my pupper. The patio is dog friendly which is really nice, they even brought ma boi some water in true hydro homie fashion. Service was great without being overtly pushy, food was excellent and the vibe outside was nice. When I’m here again I’ll have to check out the inside without the pupper. LOVE this place! It's become our go-to because it's proven near bulletproof in 4 visits. The most amazing thing might be our last server seeing us out in a store and she was so excited to talk to us again. Yes, we bonded lol. Next visit, we were disappointed not to see her, but lo and behold, our server from two visits back came over to visit with us and say hi. General thoughts: The tap selection is just fine for us as it's not IPA heavy (sorry, have the "hops taste like perfume" gene). The old fashioneds are spot on and the Bloody Mary is an appetizer in a glass 😁. Over our visits we've had the greek tacos multiple times, Flatbread, double stack, salmon, shrimp and grits, nachos, trout dip.... but.... the entree that blew my mind was the Steak Frites. We rarely eat steak out as we're just that particular after using dry rubs / smoke, sear / compound butter at home. Well, it was amazing. The temp was perfect and the crust was flavorful and just enough. The meat was a good cut and quite tender. We always look forward to our next trip and they only thing I'd like to see added to the menu is pork belly :-) Thanks for doing what you do! From the moment we walked up to the host stand, the staff was AMAZING!! Everyone was very friendly and took very good care of our group. Constantly checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Our server Desta, was absolutely AMAZING!! The food was great, beer was ice cold, 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend this place to anyone!! It is also family and dog friendly!! They even poured a bowl of ice water for the doggie!! Amazing people and food!! The owner even came out and thanked us for stopping in!! The employees also talked about how the owners take care of the employees!! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch
