Superb! Thus far the best tapas in Maastricht. The menu is not too big (which is a good thing) and the food is delicious and fresh. Although it is very small, we did not feel we were couped up. I recommend the chorizo in the red wine sauce and the crispy sardines. Note that there is no A/C so it can get very hot on hot summer days. Extra points for friendly, attentive and fast staff Price per person €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Calamares Frito
We had a weekend getaway in Maastricht with my partner and just randomly searching for a Tapas restaurant and chose La Tranca. We were not disappointed with the food and by the customer service of the owner. Food were simply prepared but tasted good. I even commented about the fritos that it taste like home, we ordered it twice 🤣🤣 they have different style for their nachos but turned out to be delicious. Cheesecake was good too. If you want a bit of lemony cerveza (not so bitter), i highly recommend the Damm lemon.
Having tried most, if not all, tapas places in Maastricht, I find this one to be the best. The food is fresh and rich in flavour, giving you cravings to try more things from the menu. Selection of drinks is small, but the wine is good (good for the Spanish wine). A point that could be improved- Sangrias could be homemade rather than pre-made. Overall, a highly recommended small cozy place with great tapas. Price per person €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Classic tapas dishes, well executed. Small but cosy restaurant with nice little outside spots in the sun. We ordered the croquettas, boquerones, calamari, albondigas, beef skewers and bread with aioli, all really good and we finished everything. Great for lunch or dinner and friendly service. Highly recommend!
