We tasted several Bosschebollen in town and these were amongst the best.

I hope I found the right place to review! I did not make note of the name, and I did not get a receipt for my purchase, so I'm going on location and the photo. On the way to the cathedral, I had been looking for a bakery to grab a local snack. My requirement was: no line of people; I didn't want to wait. Only after I passed the cathedral and walked a few meters further did I find what I hope is this bakery. Assuming I'm right ... I decided to try the Bosch Boll, the iconic pastry of den Bosch. I had never had one before. The counter person was very friendly and even provided instructions: eat from the bottom or it makes a horrible mess. I followed instructions and was treated with one of the finest, yummiest, most sinful pastries I have ever had. Silky smooth whipped cream, just sweet enough chocolate, and flaky flaky pastry surrounding the core. For comparison, I later tried Jan de Groot, which did not measure up.

Bought kokosmacronen today with a mold, 5 EUR in the trash, unfortunately I'm not local so was not able to go back to the bakery. Thank you not.

De mooiste bakkerij van de stad. Alle heerlijkheden staan mooi gepresenteerd als in een bonbon zaak. Vergeet de Bosche Bol, dat is een massaproduct geworden, een homp slagroom met stijfsel en een like bruine verf met chocola smaak. Nee, de kenner kiest voor de Sint Jansbol, een rijkgevulde volkoren rozijnenbol met noten, spijs en een heerlijke bloedrode Amare kers in het hart.
