Lovely restaurant in amstelveen centrum area, close by to the mall and tram. The restaurant is so elegant and quite, the way to order is 4 rounds in each round you can order 5 dishes, by the 2nd round we were pretty much full so we didn’t order for the remaining round. I would love if it is shorter number of rounds or maybe if one can ask for half rounds kind of thing as it’s a shame to waste food and/or money! Now for food, Grilled salmon, kimchi and garlic prawns were SO delicious and perfectly seasoned. Banana honey sushi was also very special that we ordered it for 2 rounds. Fast service. Food quality is average. Drinks and desserts are not included in the price. As a result, the bill is like in a Michelin restaurant for a family of 4 people. To make a long story short, you can find the same concept and similar food at Mojo in Amsterdam and the quality is far superior. The food lacked taste, lacked seasoning...whereas the cucumber at Mojo is full of taste, spicy and freshness....here it was bland and looked like it had been waiting somewhere for quite a while. The veggie tempura wasn't tasteful and also tasted old. Overall the food lacked taste, it was bland (and old). If you want to try this concept with realy quality food, go to Mojo in Amsterdam instead. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We've been loyal customers of this sushi restaurant for years, often traveling a considerable distance to enjoy their offerings. Unfortunately, our recent visit was a major letdown. The sushi was overwhelmingly dominated by rice, and its lack of freshness was evident. The vegetables and meat seemed to share a monotonous flavor profile, with only the texture distinguishing them. Everything we ordered appeared excessively oily and tasted as if it had been reheated. The udon was served cold and had an unpleasantly sticky consistency. It's disheartening to say, but after this experience, we won't be returning, and we cannot recommend it to others. 28euro per person. You can order 4dishes one turn and there are 5turns in total, Which is enough for most people. But attention! Some dishes will charge you extra money and the drinks are not free.

I have been going to Kokusai ever since I was a little kid, and I have always loved the food. And I still do of course, but in my opinion the service quite changed after COVID hit because before COVID, you would order with pen and paper and give the staff the paper after, but now for a little while it has been the way that you need to do it online by scanning a QR code and then choosing what you want to order. For the rest the food is great, and I come here often. I usually order hand rolls and the meat because it’s quite tasty. The only thing that would be nice if it were like that is that they would bring all the food together and not separately.
